l0aded
This is basically the same idea as described in this thread: http://www.hookahforum.com/?showtopic=20407I got the tubing from Ace Hardware, came out to be about 4 dollars total. process: cut as close as u can with a scissor or knife to the tip of the hose and use a wire cutter to cut off the wire inside of the hose and just attach the tubing to the metal portion. simple enoughpics are attached and yes it does smoke well the only problem ive ran into so far is when i blow out the harsh smoke a little bit of water will leak from where the hose is connected but its not a big deal
ryno
Did you use 5/8in vinyl tubing? I used that for one of my hoses and it works great. Did yours have any taste when you first got it? I ran some lemon juice through mine with hot water and it took care of it.
l0aded
yeah 5/8 vinyl exactly. i tried it with just running hot water and im not sure if i tasted anything (i dont think so though). ill run the lemon juice next time i smoke it. thanks for the tip

Alademuerte
Actually it's based off this concept. Most of the original ideas for the vinyl hoses were posted into this thread. http://www.hookahforum.com/?showtopic=13233
darkone253
I love vinyl hoses, personally. Although, they do not really match the look of every stem or base. My whole setup is either steel or clear, so it definately looks sexy for me.

Unfortunately no flowing really goes on.
ibtuten
Awesome! I was cleaning out an old hookah (after 3-4 months of non-use) and noticed I couldn't even blow air through the hose. Woops. Looks like I've got a project to do tomorrow
