Mya Gelato

Recommended Posts

I bought this hookah about 2 weeks ago now and I am not getting enough smoke from it wether there is 1 coal or more. I know I am setting it up right becuase I have been smoking shisha for 3 years now and previously had a Bambino and a QT which were both great hookahs. I have the medium sized Gelato at 18" tall. Can anyone help me with the problem? The hookah seems to be all air tight, the only thing I am uncertain of is how much water should be in the base because its hard to see the stem but this couldn't be a major problem that effects the smoke, right?

I've tried setting the hookah up too many times and it's giving me a headache, so I'm using my QT for timebeing...Can anyone help me sort this one out please? Edited by storm2210

Gelato is one of the few Mya's I don't have personal experience with. You want to submerge the downstem about .05-1 inch on bigger Myas. Quick way to get this right, especially if the paint is dark, it put the stem next to the base as it where in place but outside the base. Then measure .05-1 inch up and put your finger there. Place a small piece of masking tape there. Then start filling it up with water and periodically check the level by holding it to the light to see the top of the water. Continue until it's to the tape. After that what you can do optionally is to pour it into a pitcher and mark it with tape so next time it will take you moments to fill. On my Obelisk, I got use to distinguishing the the water line through the smoke colored paint.

Hope that helps.

ya thats one thing that was hard with my friends. i think with good light you can see down inside so just hold the stem up next to the base and figure it out then look inside to see about how high the water is.

my friends gives good smoke so im not to sure what it could be
