Seandoo
Sorry I bump so many threads So, my few experiences with Nakhla have been not the best, hence the "few" part. My experience with it's Double Apple, hasn't been the greatest either. After reading something of a mention of opening the AF DA, letting it sit a month, and coming back to no apple flavor at all made me wonder...is it possible that most of the stuff I got wasn't very new? Okay yeah that's possible let me rephrase - is it possible that although unopened, the shisha could have gone (somewhat) flavorless if it is a bit older? Nakhla mixed fruit didn't taste much like anything to me the one or two times I tried it, but it came from the same source as the double apple so either I don't have the taste for Nakhla or the included 50g samples from Israel weren't the freshest.....? Sonthert
Nahkla Double Apple is very suceptible to humidity shock because it is a full nicotine tobacco and it has three flavor components in it. Changes in humidity will reduce or alter the components. It seems to "change" because the humidity changes, while the tobacco reamins trapped with "older" air. Try this...stir the tobacco real well, take one bowls worth, put it out on the counter, where you're going to be smoking (near, anyways), take one bowls worth and put it in the freezer. Allow them to stay that way for a day. Smoke both and see if it makes a difference! The air in a freezer is VERY dry while it would be very likely that the air in your house is far more humid. The differences in humidity should, theoretically, make for very different smokes!
Seandoo
Interesting, I'll have to try that after my sore throat clears. Until then, is one result more predictable, or will they just be ...different?
Sonthert
If it were a single flavor, I could predict it. A three component system, I would have to do some research, so its easier just to smoke them. Also, obviously, the freezer sample, keep it in the freezer until you are going to put it in the bowl and smoke it!
Hexagon
Nakhla Two Apples rules! I think it's my favorite.
skiracerj1
nakhla is decent no doubt, some flavors are down right good, but sometimes when you just want to kick back that buzz is too much, however I'll never let the nakhla melon or mint run out in my stash, Those are must haves, the melon because its actually really good, and the mint because honestly I dont really think theres a better mint, at least no THAT much of a better mint. Basically Nakhla is the everyday shisha, and you keep the rest for special occasions.
MR Bubble
Johnny_z was right when he said, "Eventually we all come back to our roots." Nakhla has always been my favorite, and I'm sure it won't change any time soon. MR Bubble Damned, got a tear in my eye....
