.cOLt.45.
Well guys... Now that I'm old enough I'm looking to buy a car. My budget isn't to large so I was wondering what a good used car would be?My preferences are for it be an automatic, possibly a sedan, good on gas, and decent looking. What do y'all suggest that fits in these guidelines?
sss8789
hondas (civic is the cheapest and has good gas mileage), toyotas (corrolla is like the civic) and those cars last long
mdl
What's your budget?Like sss said, older hondas and toyotas are your best bet. I personally picked up an 87 Subaru Justy for under $2K and it gets ~34mpg. It a bare bones car but does its job. Here's a list of cars I would recommend you look into;(in no particular order or specific year)Honda CivicHonda CRXAcura IntegraToyota CorollaToyota TercelToyota CelicaMazda 323Mazda MiataMazda ProtegeSubaru Impreza (not the best on gas but not horrible)Subaru JustyWhatever you end up looking at make sure to look for rust and have the car looked over by a mechanic before you buy. Giant Ninja Robot
Hey man i spent 500 bucks on a shitty '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee for my first car. 2 grand isn't so bad lol. The transfer case actually blew off (yes exploded) the thing on the freeway going 75 mph. I thought i was gunna die lol. And that in turn broke the 4wd rod (forgot what it's called) which in turn broke the front right axle in half. End of that car lol. I miss my Jeep. ryno
Most of the cars mentioned are what you should look for. Chevy s-10 trucks are great too, I have a 91, and its in great shape and does decent on gas for the 6cyl it has
Codename067
I would go for a Civic that's like 1,200 and spend the other 800 on gas..that 800 will last you a good half year -if not more depending on how you drive- gas wise.
