Xabin X
So about half a year ago i bought the Mya Bambino hookah. Unfortunately i have never been told how to properly use the hookah and more recently have been having some issues. I have bought skybuzz tobacco and the really cheap $2 packs (havanna i think) and have had some trouble with smoke thickness. Also a lot of the time the smoke will get really harsh and/or taste like coal. To clean the hookah after every use i basically run water through all of the components except the hose. When i assemble it, i fill the base with cold water about half way and i pack the shisha to the brim (because it is a really small bowl) and then use the tin foil and poke with a needle tiny holes everywhere. I firmly place it on the gromit and light a quick light coal and place it on the outside edge of the bowl and then take several drags to get it started. As the session goes on i move the coal around but this sometimes produces really harsh smoke or coal taste. Anyway if anyone has any tips or suggestions, i really want to be able to get some really thick smoke out of my Bambino and heard it is possible. Also any suggestions about where i can get a bigger bowl would be great. Thanks!
HeadHunter59
TO clean the hookah. I suggest warm water/lemon juice. This way i have done my stuff and works.. Worth a try. In the video section and on youtube. Many videos on how to set a hookah up.For setting the bowl up. I wouldn't really "pack it" more or less kinda just sprinkle it in and then kinda pat it down lightly maybe put more in.(Lots tips and such in video area). That way you are not blocking all the air holes and its little easier to pull. For foil make sure its really tight and really any pattern will work. I like to do spiral on mine.Coal. Light it when u are setting the hookah up.. That way you don't get the nasty taste of non light coal.. You'll want to ash it once before use it.Once you set the coal on top. Leave it for few secs like 20 or so.. Then take a drag or two get some smoke but don't hurry it. Then id move the coal after like 15mins or so. to right or left a little. When it gets harsh either to much heat is on the bowl(try breaking your coals apart before lighting and putting one half on one side other one other side.)Hope that helps so. cotsi95
Skybuzz is a rip off or starbuzz so theres your first problem. Get some good quality tobacco like al falker or nakhla.
modisess
if you're using quicklites, when you're starting them, let them sit around for a while before putting them on the bowl. let the coal get red all around the outer edge of the coal. then put it on top of the bowl. i usually place the coal upside down on my bowl, with the dome shape facing upward. Xabin X
They are pretty good quick lights, the lounge near my house uses them and i have never had a problem when i go there. They are called Starlights.
Toxik916
I would recommend a differient bowl I hated the bowl that came with my mya. Try getting a hold of some Al Fakher or other reputable brands of tobacco. Also one whole quicklight is too much on that bowl. I would break it in half and put it on opposite sides of the bowl. Xabin X
Ok, i think i had some 3 kings a long time ago but the starlights were on sale. Any ideas where i can find a bigger bowl for the Bambino (preferably one which i won't have to alter the hookah to get on) Also is Al Fakher the best tobacco i can get? I am looking to get some really thick smoke.

I am looking to get some really thick smoke.pretty much all bowls are universal I have a mini mya myself and use a phunnel bowl I would recommend buying one from MNH http://mnhookahs.com/ . As far as which tobacco is good just try as many brands and flavors as possible. IE. Tangiers regular or lucid, Al Fakher, Starbuzz, Fantasia ect.
