It will seal well and you can peel it off when you want to. I used it on El Ghool. For a quick perminant fix that doesnt require welding or soldering, try jb weld or Qwicksteel. They are both Grey putties so you'll want to keep the piece you use small.
freezerburn456
I had a crack in the heart of one of my very old syrian stems, and i sealed it with candle wax for a period of 2 months. If the crack is in an area that does not heat up too much you can use wax quite easily. But for anything other than the heart pretty much i just use solder. If you are soldering it though, make sure you get the appropriate kind for the core metal of the stem.
EternalSoil
best trick is to buy a new hookah.when my base broke on my old hookah i buy a new one, worked great!!quickest fix is some kind of tape, any kind really.long term would be like jbweld. you could use the JB quick weld too since its not actually holding anything. hookah hippie
you can also use foil or o rings to seal up leaks if you don't solder

AzZ
I had a tiny hole on my stem by the hose port (don't think it caused a leak) and I used THIS for it. It's great stuff, just use it as if it was liquid solder, but not sure if you get it in the US. Edited August 28, 2008 by AzZ
