You're going to have to be more specific.

Is it that you're not getting enough smoke? Are you getting a burning taste? Does the shisha lack flavor?

Definetly need more info...but from the pick those look like Akhla coals and if they are that can be part of the problem.

We need some more details. make sure your hookah is airtight. Don't pack your bowl, just fluff the shisha in, and be picky about heat management, thats where alot of the quality of the smoke comes from for me, how the bowl is packed, and the coals.

I get the feeling that if you have not done anything different from your previous sessions it probably is your ball bearing in the purge valve. Unscrew the purge valve and make sure the ball bearing is resting in the hole and not in the screw on part as this will make smoking nearly impossible. other than that you need to give more info on your setup.

1- Once yout setup is complete, before packing the bowl, put your hand over the holes and try to inhale via the hose. Do you feel the air pulling in? If not, your Hookah is not sealed properly. Make sure the grommet between the stem and the vase is tight and sealed.

2-Although ice won't affect the quantity of some, it will affect the quality. Put some ice in the vase.

3- Is the water level 1-1.5inch above the stem in the vase?

4-Is your foil tight? How many holes did you do, which size? This looks like a regular clay bowl, so a standard circle pattern starting from the outside out going in the inside
will work fine.

5-What coal is that? I don`t know that kind. Do you make sure the coal is BURNING RED or is already ashed a little on the ouside when you put in on the bowl? If it`s nt burning properly not only will you not get proper smoke but it`ll taste badé

6-Do you use wind cover if you smoke outside or inside with A/C or ceiling fan on? It hels heat management and coal won't burn as quickly.

7-Make sure your bowl isn't TOO packed. If it is smoke cannot get through. Sprinkle it gently without packing it too much. Less shisha is better than too much.

8- Make sure the pressure valve isn`t defective. To make sure, remove it, use your finger to block the hole and try seeing if the pull is better. If it is you need to replace the valve.

Hope this helps, cant do much more without setup.

one thing to consider is the hose. that appears to be a hose that we sell with mini-hookahs (14 inches or shorter)

it generally has a very small inner diameter, and narrows even more at the mouthpiece and where you plug it in. a new hose should greatly increase the volume of smoke that you are getting and the amount of air that you are physically able to pull through the hookah. when you are able to pull more air it will make the tobacco hotter and you should be able to get a fuller flavor.

the bowl can also be a problem. i would suggest trying to go to your local head shop and picking up a cheap clay bowl.
