Apets22
I searched (quickly) and didnt find a thread, so Im making another one sorry if its a repost.Acclimate means leave it open to air right? I was pretty sure, but not 100%Buttttttt, I had my first tangiers bowl last night, it was so-so, smoke was alright, buzz was good, flavor was either not existant or tasted like soy sauce (Like the package said). I let it acclimate for like 2 hours, and I didnt get a super soy-sauce-y smell but a little I figured it was fine. Well I was obviously wrong, but I left it open over night and came back and it still had that smell, its been like 14 hours, how long is it suppose to be before it goes away?Oh, and its tangiers watermelon, if that helps. iamscott06
http://hookahforum.wikidot.com/tangiersThat might help you a bit Sometimes you have to acclimate along time depending on humidity. I'v heard people acclimating for 48 hours..
EternalSoil
Tangiers watermelon is not going to be really fruity watermelon like say, starbuzz or layalina. It's going to be a little more earthy. However, there should be a noticeable flavor. It does taste like watermelon.
Apets22
Thanks for the info guys, I let it acclimate for ohh 36 hours give or take, and the taste was much better as was the smoke. However, I dont think I really like Tangiers. Its a little bit harsher then what Im used too, no big deal. But the buzz was like too intense it put me and my buddy to sleep after like 15 minutes. It wasnt really enjoyable because of it, it was just to much, and the flavor wasnt great and tasty. Maybe it was a packing issue with the flavor and the harshness, I dont really know, but I followed snoopy's video to the Ts.Im not saying I'll never smoke it again, but now Ill stick to my starbuzz. To each their own I guess.

I just got my first bowl of Tangiers smoking the other night, it was peach, the flavor was ok but from what have heard I should be expecting more. I wouldnt give up just yet keep testing it out and it should be really good sooner or later. As for the buzz, I too was knocked on my ass to the point where it wasn't as pleasurable was I would have liked it too have been. My next order is going to be for lucid just so there is less kick. Also like Nick said try AF, compared to Starbuzz AF is very strong in flavor and has a decent buzz, for way less. You just wont come across flavors like peaches and cream....which I would dish out the money to buy as a treat =).
