Has Anyone Tried The Chinese Phunnel Bowl At Hc?

Recommended Posts

they look just like the german imitation phunnels and they suck (very thin and uneven hole in the middle). besides they`re only a few dollars cheaper.

i dropped both the original and imitation phunnel (i`m a clumsy fuck) and the original didn`t even chip, where the imitation smashed into a thousand pieces.

conclusion: the original is worth the money.

Wow, 4 dollars cheaper. That's insane savings, INSANE! That's like a California Burrito at a local Mexican food restaurant. A WHOLE BURRITO!!! China wreaks of knockoffs, and not just in the hookah community.

If you will note it says made of white cermaic clay. That means its made from the same stuff a standard Mya bowl is. So it will break easier, won't conduct the heat as well as a real Tangiers Phunnel, and will generally not be as nice.
If you need a phunnel and have to save the 4 bucks, go for it, but as you read above, some things are worth getting the original. Even if you have to wait a while.

I found a small tangiers at texashookah (hope that is a good vendor) and since my hookah has a pale green vase and they had only the green and white phunnel, I thought it would go perfectly and decided to get the real thing instead of the knockoff. But I am curious if the original is going to even be made anymore. I think I was reading at another site that the tangiers company is actually having the knockoffs made in China, so I am wondering if the original made in CA ones will no longer be made or what? Anyway, I look forward to trying it out. Edited by mamajosie

The originals are still being made and shipments are constantly being sent out. I'm not sure who has been spewing such misinformation butTangiers is not having lower grade knockoff bowls made in China.

I'll bet I know wo told you....

The originals are still being made through tangiers, but they are so popular they are backlogged at the place that makes them. Eric told me about this the other day.

Just ordered a Chinese funnel bowl

Should be as good as the real thing, (i'm guessing).Ordered it since the originals were unavailable everywhere else (out of stock). Edited by D-Rock

That site is much less that what could be considered reputable. sleep.gif

How is it that Neal(maybe?) has fantasia for 8.50?

They were here locally before they moved, seemed like a decent shop, the pic in my avatar was taken there, the gas mask is available on their site for $50, it was a great experience.
Great prices and the guy that turned me on to them has been smoking hookahs for a long time, Neal and Holly were always straight up every time i saw them at the old shop.
