r1v3th3ad
So, this past week I tried out ajami/tombac. The hookah I used had no hose, so I had to use my MZ hose on it. Well, when I game, I need to use that hose, smaller/light weight so I can keep the hose in my mouth and have both hands free for keyboard and mouse. The hose tasted like a cigar my whole session. Its non-washable. I couldn't taste my damn schnozzberries. I gave it a rinse at the beginning of the session(even though its non-washable)...any recommendations to solve this issue of flavor ghosting? joytron
I have a 3.5 HP air pressure thing (for pumping up car tires and waht not) and i just stick the end inside my hose, and pull down, it really seems to help.
Stuie
Cans of compressed air, that dusting stuff. Use a whole can between bowls of Tangiers Cooling. Just a theory.

ParryPerson
I've tried it all. Best solution, get a new hose, or get a washable one. There are very cheap plastic options that don't feel as good but get the job done.
ryno
I say get a new hose, or use an air compressor to blow it out. It will also get rid of any little bits of rust you have in there.
r1v3th3ad
well, I tried giving it a quick rinse and using a q-tip...you should of seen the disgusting resin that was in there...this hose was only used once before. I left it sitting all night with fish air pumps hooked up to it to dry it out.Amidst the tar chaos, I lost my grommet. My ones from the ol' mitsuba dont work. So for now, I have to use a wet paper towel, I ordered three from hookah-shisha.
modisess
probably you should get a new hose..i used to rinse and blow dry the hose that came with my hookah when i was still new, which was a cheap knockoff syrian hose... when i finally got a new, washable hose to replace the old one, i decided to cut open the old hose. well, the metal coil was protected by something like a sheet of really thin plastic of some sort but it was absorbent, something like cling wrap. so i could imagine that the smell was really sticking to that sheet of plastic when it was wet, and seriously that sheet of plastic was still wet even when it was left sitting around for a week or two. so if you're hose was made like that it would be pretty hard to get rid of the smell and taste IMO..
