Apets22
Jack Johnson, John Mayer. Well, mellow acoustic in general. Also some good chill rap/hip hop, with some good lyrics. Maybe a little bit mainstream but The Game, and (some) Lil Wayne. On the not so mainstream, Living Legends DJ Z Trip.Basically it depends on the mood. If Its a morning hookah/before bed (sober) hookah, usually acoustic. If its an after party before bed hookah, or a before party hookah its rap. Actually come to think of it, If its a study hookah, its usually classical. Hans Zimmer (I like movie scores) Bach, Terrega, anything interpreted by Julian Bream, basically anything. Pandora ftw!!Im a HUGE metal fan, but when smoking hookah, it just doesnt suit the moment for me.

Apets22
Excuse the double post. But I also love playing my guitar while smoking hookah. Just playing songs, or messing around trying to write my own stuff, its just a mellow experience and very nice.
TizaNabi
Doug Kershaw fiddling Cajun/Zydeco music I find quite calming and goes good with hookah. No one ever danced the Cajun Two-step with a hookah in his arms, you have to relax.

srawas89
Man no Arabic music....you should all be ashamed! . But then again I am quite biased towards that just cuz I am Arab haha. I listen mainly to Arabic Music, some artists are Haifa Wehbe, Nawal Zoughby, Elissa, Dominique, Amr Diab, Moustafa Amar. If you know an arab or two simply ask them and they probably will know some more as I am bad with artist names and songs in English much less in Arabic. darkone253
Arab music or Trip Hop (Massive Attack, Portishead, etc) is always a good choice. I also like trance (esp In Search Of Sunrise 4, 5, and 7 by DJ Tiesto) and psy trance (Vibe Tribe) while smoking. I've had some serious convo while smoking hookah and listening to Vibe Tribe. Oh and as for the OP I just remembered that I like smoking to any music even if it is very upbeat as long as the music stays in the background it pretty much is good music to me

[Elmo]
Vampire Weekend's self titled release is a great social record to listen to. It's upbeat but still relaxing and just easy to sit and listen to. Also The Beatles Love is a fun smoke.
fedaykin
^word I like listening to Vampire weekend while smoking, puts you in a good upbeat mood. saw them in concert not to long ago actually.I pretty much listen to anything while smoking, sometimes metal like I killed the Prom Queen, All Shall Perish, Whitechapel, Parkway Drive or Rap,maybe some 2pac, NWA, RZA, Bone thugs, talib kweli. Or if I'm in a chill out mood something like Marley, Tosh, Jason Mraz, The beatles, Dylan basicly whatever
