Mya Colossus Vs Khalil Mamoon

i cant decide whether to go for the mya colossus 4 hose($375!! with supplies) or a km trimetal or a km with ice bucket ($150 to $200 with same supplies). what i hear is that khalil produces higher quality smoke and is made from higher quality materials while still cheaper than the chinese mya. although the mya has good reviews, the km seems better. however heres my pickle; km only makes 1 hose hookahs and i know that there are going to be times where 1 hose is not enough. i want an impressive hookah for social gatherings as much as i want clouds and flavor.

and ps, does an ice bucket realy make a difference? or is it the same as putting ice in the vase

i would definetely go with a km. the extra hoses usually end up being more of a hassle for me. but if you buy a km, i dont think an ice chamber really makes any difference, personally, just ice in the base is good. so that may widen your selection of kms, unless you really like the look of the ice chamber. both would be ok, though, if you want more hoses, this is a good one to get. its all preference, i have both styles.

Ice Bucket does not do anything.

I have gotten accustomed to using KMs and I have been trying to collect as much as I can, so I would go for that.

That price gap [$200 compared to $375] would be more than enough to win my vote in a situation like that!

can't go wrong either way, the MYA Collosus is one I was debating one, but what I realized was I was spending all that extra money on the looks VS. the functionality

I think this mostly boils down to the question "Do you want a multi-hose hookah or not?" Apples and oranges...

The KM will give a better smoke and purge, but if you want a multi-hose the KM will never do that.

A friend of mine has a 4 hose Mya Paragon (with all nammor hoses) and it smokes really nice, just not as nice as my KM.

thanks alot guys i think the colossus would be more of a poser hookah in terms of the hookah tradition hah so im gona go for a km. i think with the quality of the km, one hit and pass will feed enough people at a party with the smaller chance of breakage. when i save enough money ill buy a colossus as well for looks and the 4 hose deal.


and just wondering... is a km able to be converted into a two hose with those converty things? or is it too traditional (which ill be happy with as well)

For the price your paying for the collossus you could easily just pick up an extra Km so you have two for those situations where one isn't enough and still spend less money then what you would drop on just the Mya by itself.

Colusses is one of the Mya's that's really better for later in your smoking career. They smoke just as good as a KM but your are buying it for looks and the cloisonne which is really expensive. I would say skip the Mya for now. I am huge Mya fan...I got 5 of them. Don't put so much money down on it now, maybe later.
