Golden 40 Mm Coals

these bad boys are sick...if you have a small mnh glass bowl they are possibly the best second coal ever...i do about an hour and 15 mins of cocos then when the smoke is some what dying all you need is 1 40 mm golden and the thing is kick better than before...it tastes a bit harsh at first but after a couple of purges its amazing i must say im in love

i used the Golden 40 mm forever, and I swore by them, still a great instant lite, but honestly starlites 40 mm have really stolen me, at only $1 a roll at a local store, they're dense, burn well, and break evenly.


The goldens are just soooooo expensive, but they are very good, glad you like em!

how do you put your 40mm on a phunnel do you break them in half or what? lately ive been breaking 2 40mm in half and been placing 3 halfs on the phunnel works great but charrs the hookah.

well i have a small mnh funnel bowl, so it only holds 25 grams so i just put it on top it covers 90% of the top of the bowl (thats how small it is) works like a charm

what size phunnel do you have though? That makes a big difference, start off with 3 to get it heated then cut back to two halves to keep the heat going without burning.

Either that, or make sure the shisha doesn't touch the foil.

I used to use these coals all the time before I used out they work well

i use the 33mm all the time. Didn't like the 40mm too much heat for me...but that's back when I only used egyptian bowls. I use the Golden33s now only when I travel.

Well make sure it's just sprinkled in, and mine touches the foil too, but I think you problem is: HEAT.


Dude I use 3 halves of 40mm on my med., 4 halves will get it started right away and all that jazz but it'll heat it up too much. So my advice use 2 halves and a windcover to get it going, then the windcover is optional.

If you're going to use 3 then use 3 for the first few minutes and then take off one of them.

Remember to continually move the halves around the edge of the bowl so the heat hits everywhere eventually.

Hmm could be your hole size, I get that problem too but i never find it ruins my bowls, what kind of hookah are u using?
