hey guys, so heres the deal... i found a shop in london, tooting (for anyone who lives near by) that sells shisha. i asked if he had any AF but he said out of stock, try in a weeks time. so i was like cool, no worries. meanwhile, i just baught some al waha pineapple.

i get home thinking no more of that soex crap. i open the package up and it looks fine. so there i was, emptying the shisha into my airtight container, and giving it a good mix, when i saw that the shisha is not so juicy.

when i went so smoke it, the smoke was thin, and it had low flavour. the thing is... it also made my throat sore and dry.

any tips as to what i should do to make it ok to smoke?

pardon the drunkeness...but anytime I have prob with flavor and smoke....add honey and glycerine. its up to you really on how much. it varies from cfondition to condition. this should fix. Al Waha was my first fav shisha

dont laugh, but i tried to put a few drops of Ribena (fruit syrup) into the bowl. didnt help none. lol! this was before asking for help.

i can get glycerine from a supermarket?

I don't know about drug stores in England, but over here, I had trouble finding glycerin there. Check any store that would have professional cake decorating supplies. Glycerin is used to re-hydrate dried out fondant. I found mine in Michaels, an American arts and crafts store.

I dont know how al waha i supposed to look but that doesnt seem very dry, just more sticky like nakhla. Some more info on your setup? Amount of coals etc...

i got some. i went to the drug store like DarkParade said, and asked the lady behind the till. it cost £1.69

the shisha is sprinkeled into the bowl and packed so it sits just below the rim of the bowl. the foil is tight across the bowl with a star (*) pattern holes. i use one (Mira) quick light coal.

when i got some al waha peach before, it had LOTS of juice, real smooth flavour and smoke. the smoke was also thick

when i mixed the pineapple shisha about, it didnt have any extra juice. when i smoked it, the smoke was thin and the smoke gave me a sore throat in about 20mins of smoking.

ah well. maybe its just me. not used to sticky shisha.

oh, one last question, how much honey and glycerin should i use per bowl?

chears mate! i think i put a bit too much glycerin in my bowl... a whole cap full... lol!!
i'll by doing 2 drops from now on.

Al Waha is pretty dry in general, it's also very good once you get packing technique and heat down. It takes more heat then AF and you wanna get it nice and fluffy in that bowl but still put a decent amount in, just take some time and experiment with it a little bit , you'll get it soon enough.

i am thinking 1 coal plus another 1/2 coal. will try it in the afternoon... its 7am here in the good ol' uk.

use naturals and use 3 coals.....trust me...thats how al waha looks

the orange cream al waha i have is pretty dry looking and feeling. i fluff it really well into a small egyptian and use 2 coconaras, add a wind screen here and there and its good. not as thick of smoke as some others but good flavor

We are working on a product to enhance flavor of dried and not so flavorful shisha. Hopefully we will be able to get it out by the end of next month and send you guys some samples as well.

Awesome Texas, that should be a great addition to some shisha flavors, similar to what shisha world advertises. Something in the US like that would be nice.
