billy
I;m runngin low on my Jap Easy Lights and im thinking of trying something else. I was thinking of the Coconara's. What are your thoughts on these? good or bad? please let me know
ryno
Coconaras are good coals, but I think they are a little expensive. Also, mine always tend to go out on one side, so I have to keep flipping them. I'd suggest these http://hookahcompany.com/coconut_hookah_ch...l_1121_prd1.htm
racemyghost
I dont like them at all. Neither do any of my friends. They taste like sh*t.They dont ash as much but they ash so fine, it gets sucked up into the bowl. I love exoticas and i just tried the new jap exoticas, great coals. OC4111
Coco naras are awesom coals. i have a glass screen so no ash gets in my bowl. the only heat managament issue is having to flip them every 15-20 minutes. vin13
Best coals you can buy in my opinion. They are a little pricey but compared to others (even the HC coconut coals) they are superior.

Stuie
Love Cocos, got some exoticas to try. Through the coals on the burner, setup you hookah, and you are good to go. They take a while to light. I move and flip every coal I have ever used, not sure what the big deal is.
ColibriDon
Try reading over this thread: http://www.hookahforum.com/?showtopic=22920 It has a lot of really good information on Coco's. I just ordered a box from MNH and am looking forward to trying them out so I say go for it. **Edit for Grammar** Edited September 8, 2008 by ColibriDon

I get absolutely no taste from them at all...I don't see how it's really possible to considering they emit almost no smell. The HC coals are legit, but they burn through really fast in my opinion, and they ash about twice as much as Coco's. A solid alternative though. Coco's are far and away the best coals I've tried. MechAnt
Well billy,Since you are UK based, you can easily get your hands on some Cocobrico coals. They are actually the predecessors to Coconaras by quite a bit. They are sold by 3 kilos and are also in little blocks. They are cheap and excellent coals. My friend got me some when he visited Germany and they are the only other coals that are my favorite other than Golden Canary Japs. If you want, I also highly recommend the Golden Canary Japs. Bulldog_916
The HC coconut coals are superior in my opinion to the Coconaras because they dont leave any sand or crystalized matter. It gets in my bowl and pisses me off a little bit when I smoke Tangiers with larger holes. So I cant conserve the shisha if I want to if I use Cocos with Tangiers. TigerLord
I don't like my cocos... they take forever to heat and I need to flit them every 2 minutes or they go out on my glass screen.
