Anyone Have Problems W/ Lucid Cocoa Flavor?

Recommended Posts

I got my order of shisha in yesterday. Lucid cocoa, mint and horchata (yay).

I let them acclimate for about 6 hours, I had heard that the lucid doesn't need to acclimate but I figured since mine is shipped from Texas and I'm in the NC humidity all the time, can't hurt.

The mint smoked very well, the horchata I'd had before so I haven't tried this batch yet....but the cocoa....man.... something's not right.

It smells like milk and some sort of funny smell that almost smells bad, more than cocoa. The flavor was extremely faint, I could get a hint of it on the exhale but other than that no one in the group liked it. I'd heard on here that it could be likened to brownies. I sat it out for another 10 hours over night in hopes that it would work out. It totally was not the heat control or the method by which the bowl was packed, the mint went through the same packing process and even the same coals, and it smoked wonderfully.

Has anyone else had flavor issues with the cocoa?

Yeah it should smell like brownies...let it acclimate more. I actually had some cocoa in a tupperware container that i forgot about for three months. When I found it, it smelled AMAZING. Lucid ages really really well, so just give it time.
