tjt486
There are problems with logging on this forum, security code never matches for me. I can't wait until the whole thing gets redone.
pimpy
A. The picture - that was what all the fuss was about? WTF? B. I agree about the forum. As far as forums go, it pretty much blows. It's just the most popular of hookah forums, and its really about the people anyway, right?
MR Bubble
Hey, I've been missing out I guess. What's wrong with the picture? He reminds me of someone, but I can't place it. Persian, I have been asked if I am the reason you have been having troubles logging it, and the answer is "No." Your machine is just having troubles with the cookies I guess. As far as a retailer advertising, Just use some common sense. I realize I adopted a general rule about advertising business here. The problems started when people were using this as a platform for marketing their product. It turned out their product/service was NOT all it was cracked up to be and a few members (from experience) let us know about it. That started alot of "flame-wars" around here that lasted for weeks. We are still feeling the fallout from one that happened last summer. Solution? Ban this form of marketing. However, is this fair to the people who have been good to us? A lot of you may disagree with me, but George Egho from the hookah.com was one who advertised, but sent free samples and contributed some. Whoever didn't like his product didn't receive a derogatory reply from him. Tagseem is good to us also. I personally didn't care for my experience, but he is a good member who doesn't bother us with "mofo-feces." I Realize the point of business ownership is to make money. I realize business ownership is a lot harder, time consuming and risk prone than the traditional 9 to 5 job. I salute you and other business owners for gambling on your selves. I only ask that you (and other business owners) continue to use our site for what it is: a place to exchange creative thoughts and ideas, relax, have a good time and make a couple of cyber-friends. No problem in letting us know your business because you may be of valuable service to some here, but always remember this site isn't solely for advertising. I think you and Tangiers blend priorities well. Bless your gizzard. MR Bubble

MR Bubble
The other day, right after the forum came back up, I was having the worst problems I've ever had. Here's what I did: Nuked my cookies, dumped my temp file folder, ran Ad-Aware (a couple of times), ensured I had this address typed in to allow cookie usage, and restarted. Still, no luck. I then surfed around the site trying to log in from different pages: Main page, serious discussion page, discussion group for all hookah lovers, etc... Just when I was about to beat on it with a shoe, the login worked. Then, I tooled over to the main page, and being satisfied I was actually logged in, I marked it as "Favorites" and I've been good since. I don't know exactly what worked for me, maybe a combination of all things but I think the alignment of the planets had something to do with it too. caspianhookahcafe
Persian Hookahs is somewhat of a contradiction because persian hookahs are not crafted from metal they are typically made of wood. In iran they are called Gheyloons and are typically used for smoking tombac a dry tobacco that is soaked in a liquid usaully tea, before smoking. Also on their website they said hookah orginated from Persia but this is also false because the hookah origanted from egypt. Plus these hookahs are all social smoke hookahs. Just thought i would clear up the air.

pavlakos_politakos
.......it was then introduced to the turkish empire, moved its way to the middle east, and was soon popular in most middle-eastern and mediteranean countries.it was introduced to greece by the turks after the countries 300 year enslavement. up until the 60s the "hookah" was used to smoke marijuana and was of course illegal."hookah" or arghileh, was the inspiration for many greek songs dating from 1865-1930s......sorry....a little off topic there.... Sonthert
It's just a name. Does anyone think Sultan is actually made by a sultan? If we are taking things literally, is your cafe in the Caspian Sea? How do you stop your customers and their hookahs from sinking to the bottom and getting wet?
