hey guys, i was wondering if the vase + stem is 22' ,  but i ask the internet site (mya) to send the same vase only with a longer stem so that the hookah is 27-29', will the quality of the smoke be affected? becasue the vase is meant for a medium stem but i am getting a longer one for it? thanks

A larger hookah doesn’t really make any difference beyond looking
better in a crowd. It may help up to about 20". Larger hookahs may
condense the smoke better *rumor has it*, while a smaller hookah may
filter it through a bit less water and be a LITTLE bit harsher, but we
are talking smaller hookahs then yours.

and I just finished drinking my coffee and felt dumb, the vase stem
combo wont make any smoke difference. Just make sure the stem isn’t so
much longer in the bottom you wont be able to fit an ice bottom in .

As long as the stem clears the bottom of the jar by an inch or two, you'll be OK or in need of a hacksaw (I have done it! I'm not afraid to use the hacksaw again!)A smaller lug (Jar opening size) concentrates the smoke, by my estimation. Unfortunately, most smaller lug hookahs have smaller central tubes, making for a weaker hit. I have one I was given some years back, I call "flathead". The jar is the smaller 24-size lug with fat central tube. The thing smokes like a monster.

hacksaw is cool, but what i did (my stem went to the VERY bottom of the vase i'm using now) is just drill some holes in a spiraled pattern up the bottom of it about an inch or two, now it's a built in diffuser.. works amazingly well as a matter of fact...
