Faster Way To Light Charcoal

Ok this may be new to some and old to others but I thought I'd put it out there anyways for the people who never thought about it. Tired of using your stove/making it all messy? Go outside and use your barbecue!! take off the grate, throw the coals in, close the lid, turn it on and in literally 3-4 minutes your coals will be RED hot. Its so much faster. You dont have to worry about cleaning up the ash or even rotating the coals. Edited September 17, 2008 by aftern00nDlight

yeah, I've heard of this before...seems like you're wasting gas though, stove is simple, portable burner is even better...imo

Personally I dont find the stove very messy. However I always use japs.
Stove when you've got one comfortably nearby and portable propane burner if you dont have a stove.

walgreens hot plate ftw! when you want to get rid of all the ash, just make sure theres no hot ones and dump it in the trash, then blow it out a little.

I just use my Walgreens single burner.

I've used my grill before and it took me longer to get my coals going... were you using QLs? I think for now I'll stick to my stove though... gonna have to get one from Walgreens for home.. mom doesnt like coals on here stove much
