vin13
Gotta have my cocos! They blow away anything else I've tried (especially exoticas)
Stuie
Welcome to the club. The don't ash as well as exoticas in my opinion but that last so much longer and spread heat much more evenly.
newjacksm
I bought Jap Exoticas from MNH 2 days ago because they sell cocos locally 5 dollars for 16 but I think my next order depending my expierence with the jap exoticas I will be ordering the big box of exoticas
willbb123
be sure not to turn it up all the way... leave it at 3/4. Trust me you WILL set off the smoke detectors... I've done it twice now, very rude awaking...
Majid
Love the cocos, but does it take long and does it smell when you light them with a coil burner? I've been on hookah hiatus but im looking to get back with a vengeance, i'll get a burner and new cocos right away if it's good.
Bulldog_916
I think the Coconaras and coconut coals in general smell more than the Exoticas did. I only got a faint woody type smell with the exoticas as opposed to a full on smokey smell with the cocos and the coconut coals. Plus I liked being able to customize the coal to what I wanted to smoke. Quarters for Tangiers. Thirds for Layalina, Starbuzz, Nakhla and Pharaohs. It works better to me than having a finite size for everything. Its nice not to have to cut the coconut coals. But it wasnt a big deal when I had to cut the Exoticas. newjacksm
So far the Jap Exoticas arent as great as I thought they would be Cocos are superior. The Jap Exoticas do take about 3 min to light up where as the cocos do take about 8 min to light up. They both give a good smoke but the cocos you dont always have to turn over and make sure its lit. Coocos dont ash as much. It's worth the extra money to get the Coco's.

xpimpitox
i got my coil burner from longs drugs locally u may want to check them out. maybe it was a bad batch but a box a small box of coco's to sample out and i didnt like them one bit. they took forever to light and the smoke was nowhere near as thick as i get them with exoticas/jap coals. i think ill stick to exoticas guarenteed to have a good session. Giant Ninja Robot
In my impending order of doom I'm planning to pick up a couple boxes of exoticas and some of those starlight coconut coals, I heard they are just as good as cocos but last a lil shorter, which for a lil more than 1/2 the price per coal is fine with me.I used a different offbrand of coco coals yesterday and they were alright, smelled like campfire and marshmallows when lighting lol. Def better than QLs though.
