MrMoodz
I keep switching back between standard and heavy duty foil. Which do you prefer to use?? I feel like with some tobaccos HD foil works better with it then standard foil and vice versa.
Stuie
Pretty much HD all the time. I got some free hookah foil from time to time but i have had it for like 5-6 months and stopped using it when i bought HD foil. Just holds up and distributes heat better in my opinion. aleemkahn
I find that heavy duty foil ensures a tight seal on the bowl so there are no air leaks and that the only air entering is from the holes. The tight seal is achieved beacuse you can pull down the foil as hard as you want without ripping it. Whereas standard foil would rip and just piss me OFF! Giant Ninja Robot
+1I've had the same super heavy duty roll of foil from Costco for like 2 years now, cheap for how much you get and is very thick and sturdy.Kirkland heavy duty foil FTW!!!!I'm almost to where I need some new foil and I'll definately pick up the same roll. MrMoodz
Interesting responses. I'll start using HD foil more consistently now and see if I notice a difference. Especially since I'm starting to use coco nara's and I notice those burn hotter and HD foil might smooth it out.
Codename067
Believe me when I tell you this...Standard foil WILL get you better clouds [More umph, more flavor].I only use Standard.

Kapten Kanel
Standard foil here, but going to try HD if i just can find some. Those "already-cut-out-aluminum-foil-for-hookah" seems to differ alot in quality, two brands had too thin foil making it sack into the bowl while the other one were perfect, very thick and fitted nicely. I dont think that i can agree with codename, if you use HD foil just be a little more aggresive with the heat.Very OT, didnt want to make a new thread for this so - Is the small tangiers phunnel going to be avaible any time soon? Cause if otherwise i will have to go with the chinese rip-offs or the so sexy but expensive jet bowl from MNH.

Giant Ninja Robot
I use the heavy stuff cuz it's more stable and easier to use without tearing...How do you guys think heat management factors in AT ALL when you have holes poked all over in the foil? The coals are technically heating through the holes and the foil is retaining the heat right? I can't see it as much of a factor that thinner foil would possibly bring in heat easier if you have holes in it to allow heat in either way. Sounds silly to me... Toxik916
I use heavy duty foil because I think its easier to burn the shisha with thin foil. It also doesnt sag in the middle and I can get a tighter seal.

Sounds silly to me...Sounds very silly to me as well, but get this..Not long ago, I got a message from ***** and they wanted help to get their KM to hit better..I helped them as much as I can and nothing seemed to be wrong..the KM would just not hit..then it all came down to the foil..that made all the difference. That person was achieving clouds like nothing.2 Days after that, I get a message over AIM and the same exact situation, but a different person. I tell him to try standard foil..he doubted me -I think- because, of course, it DOES sound silly, but hell, he said the cloud volume doubled over HD foil.Just thought I'd share that with you. Giant Ninja Robot
Well I'll give it a try thats for sure, but I've never had an issue with HD producing clouds...thats just my shitty packing skills lol.
