agentscot
Set up was my new phunnel with a scalli mod made from an old miller high life aluminum bottle cap. Smoking Nakhla grape and damn it tasted good. Two coals on opposite sides of the bowl. I use some random brand of coals that i got at my local shop. I might have to invest in some better ones though, these seem to ash way too much and burn too fast. Oh well.[attachment=2252:DSCN0604.jpg][attachment=2253:DSCN0609.jpg][attachment=2254:DSCN0610.jpg][attachment=2255:DSCN0613.jpg]Sorry for the picture angles, I am awful at holding the camera to take pics of my self. Can't aim worth shit.Anyway, the clouds are showing up better on film than they were in reality. I wished they were thicker, but I'm gonna attribute that mostly to the coals and partly because my hookah wasn't perfectly sealed up. however, I freaking love the phunnel. It smoked so much better than the old egyptian head i've been using. I went ahead and used the scalli mod I made because i didn't want a really long session, so I'll have to see how it smokes without it later on. but I'm very happy with how it was working tonight. agentscot
[attachment=2256:DSCN0616.jpg][attachment=2257:DSCN0618.jpg][attachment=2258:DSCN0619.jpg][attachment=2259:DSCN0620.jpg]There are the pics of the hole pattern, the (mostly) spent shisha, and my scalli mod. As you can see, quite a bit of ash got into the bowl. I don't know whether to attribute that to the coals or to my hole pattern. I'll let you guys critique me on that.As for the scalli mod, like I said, its just an old aluminum beer bottle cap. I used a combination of fire and steel wool to get all the paint off the cap then used pliers to shape it to the bowl. It worked really well, and the pull was nice and smooth.Hope you guys like the pics!
