yeah it sucks. new zealand is a hole. it is classed under drug paraphenalia and any object used to administer cannabis is banned. i have complained to them that it is not used to smoke drugs but sweet sweet shisha and they just told me to go away. our goverment is a bunch of stuck up c**ts.lol. and also to import 250 grams of tobacco it costs $100 for duty rates. our country sucks. thats why i am moving to aussie, much better and is alot less stricter for importing hookahs and shisha is cheaper to import as well

I have (maybe) an idea for our Dear Friends in New Zealand......the bottle, water container should not be a big problem to buy IN New Zealand.
Get the rubber grommet of the 10 inch or 12 inch bottle, and take it to a store which sells glass ware, fancy bottles or vases with hookah sized openings and stick the rubber grommet in to test the size.(You can always wrap some white teflon pipe-fitters plumbers soft tape around ANY air leak you have on the hookah).I've used it for years on plumbing and pipe leaks at the Kibbutz I lived on.
Once I used an old 2 liter milk bottle leftover from the 1960's which my wife had for decoration, and of since returned.
For the pipe shaft and stem, these can be bought sepately by someone in either the Middle East, or "closer" to you from India.May I suggest Univac.com which is "The Mother of all Hookah making companies".
You could ask them to tape a few nuts and bolts onto it so the stooges in your duty customs department will not be too wise. They can have it labled "metal plumbing accessory" or something like that.   Where do you have so many people with your small population to open and check everyones packages? Actually, that was a stupid question, here I live in Israel where everything is  checked for bombs or customs duty, in the Post, in each store, airlines, buses, etc. It pays crap, and you stand a good chance of being the first flying body that blows up. I forgot Univac.com 's link.  Keep pushing the  fancy "forward" sign on the bottom of the page and eat your heart out.Write to them about mailing to New Zealand. Ask them what can be done.(They must know). They send also by courier. Where I buy Al Fakher online they write "Preserves" on the package instead of tobacco, which is true, realy.  sheeshabum
