Hookah Quality

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I have a decent hookah, I don't know what brand it is, but I can get decent smoke with it. I'm planning on buying a phunnel bowl and 2 KM hoses.

My parents are going to Jordan and Marakesch (don't know where that is) in a few weeks, and I will ask hem to bring me some goodies biggrin.gif. What should I ask them for? I believe 'Al Waha' shisha is made in Jordan? What do you think about that brand? Is there a possibility they find KM hoses there? The reason why I want KM is because the hoses I have now are a bit small and don't pull very nice.

Any help is appreciated,

Thanks,
Tom

I'd actually ask them to get anything but al-waha... I mean, you can get this stuff in the US cheap. See if they can get you some of the local stuff that doesn't get exported.

Marrakech is a city in Morocco, I only found al fakher and nakhla there, but it's cheap; 2 euro's for a small pack of 50 gr.
I had a Jordanian friend who visited his family in Jordan this summer, he bought some kick-ass shisha there, don't know the brand, package was in arab, but it was really great; he bought a kilo for 10 euro's (that's 2 pounds I believe), and that was the most expensive one there, so either way your parents will be able to buy some cheap ass shisha.

As far as hookahs go, I didn't find any real good ones in Marrakech, but maybe I was looking in the wrong places; be aware though, they sold some cheap ass hookahs that looked like khalil mamoons from far, so maybe your parents might confuse them for real ones.. If they're not sure, the knock offs are as light as a feather, that's probably the easiest way for them to tell them apart..

Fake khalil mamoons

2.2 lbs to be more exact.

And in that picture the vases dont say Khalil Mamoon on it, so, that would be another way to know.

Dont worry about the base being a KM base or not, because Egyptian bases are almost all alike.

Just make sure that the stem itself is a KM stem before purchasing it..If they can take pics for you there and send them to you and then have you upload them to show us, I can better assist you.

Agreed, the Stem is the only thing that's important, as long as the base fits the KM stem that's all that matters. Plus most small places that sell hookahs aren't worried about branded bases, that's just a flashy thing done to market it over here in the US
