Types Of Hookahs

so i have a pretty small sized hookah, i dont know how tall it is off the top of my head, but i would estimate that its less than 20 inches. i can pull some really good smoke on it though, nice thick clouds.
but i also have a friend who has a 30 some inch hookah and he's always bragging that his hookah is WAYYYY better. but the smoke that he makes from that, i can make from my hookah as well. does the type of hookah really matter on how thick your smoke is?

my opinion is, that its the bowl, the way the bowl is packed, and the coal placement that really determines how nice or how bad your smoke turns out, not the height of the hookah. but thats just my opinion.

without any harsh criticism, i'd like to know other peoples opinions as well, cuz im just wondering thats all

You hit the nail on the head with that statement. I have been able to get insane clouds out of a pumpkin, and seen people to get crap out of a KM. There is some truth to his statement however, if the tubes are too narrow or the hose is crap it will limit your ability to get those huge clouds.

A good bowl packed well will lead to an amazing smoking session every time.

im a bigger believer in hose diameter, packing, and base volume above the water.

the bigger ones seem to give more smoke because in general they have more space in the base and the smoke has a little longer time to cool, but honestly 10 inches i dont think will matter when you have 6ft long hoses

i can get the same clouds from my 32 inch rotator that my friend gets from his little 18 inch gelato mya, all in the other items

I would say the only difference would be how fast the smoke gets harsh.

In my Bambino I get alot of smoke but it get harsh quickly and my KMs rarely get harsh, with good heat management.

I also think that bigger hookah = more bad ass. But thats a personal opinion. And off topic.

It also technically allows a little more space and time to cool the smoke, but it's pretty negligible.

I havent noticed any difference between smaller and larger hookahs when it comes to clouds. You gotta practice your heat and you can blow his clouds away. He'll probably make some weird excuse for why his werent as big, but you'll know the truth. Smoke that little sucker. I got a 20" hookah and I can rip clouds like Codename does in his KM video, its all a matter of practice.
