Nammor Hose

I just got my new lrg. Nammor hose from H-S, however, i only have a smaller (18") generic hookah from social smoke. The hose will fit the hookah but it pulls the grommet right out after about 30 sec. of sitting there......i rigged it up with some tape so it would stay but i don't want to have to do that every time i smoke and i dont have the money to buy a bigger hookah right now, anyone know of any quick mods or if there is an adapter i can get to help me enjoy my beautiful nammor!?!?!?!

you could try buying a large MYA hose adapter if your hose port screws onto the hookah, you could also try using a thin MYA type silicone gasket or sanding down the plug on the nammor where it goes into the port. but for now it seems like taping it is the best option

sounds like the nammor is too long and skinny and is hitting the bottom of your hoseport. a few things you can do:

get a larger grommet. i had to get a new grommet for my nammor and depending on what hookah i use, i sometimes have to change grommets.

if you don't have another grommet you can make your grommet fit by wrapping electrical tape around the hose port end of the hose right were the grommet fits and this should fill it out a little more. however, over time, the tape can start to slide and fuck up your fit. this is not a permanent fix.

another thing you can do of you do not have another grommet available is to grind or cut the end of the hose port end of the hose so that it doesn't hit the bottom of your hose port.

I have a small Mya chic that uses a large Nammore just fine- Just buy a new, "mod bowl" grommet (H-S.com offers this as well for .95 cents. Luckily, the local Iranian shop had them too.) The Grommet will get sort of misshaped by the bigger hose, but as long as you use it for just the plug for the Nammor and don't need it for a bowl, it will be fine. It fits in, is perfectly stable and smokes like a charm.

There's also the napkin trick, or try inserting the hose in such a way so that the hose runs "upward" ( so part of the hose is being "perched" on the hookah) so that gravity's affect on the hose isn't as strong. Hope you find a remedy soon, because that Nammor is might fine!

if you arent terrible with your hands then id suggest sanding down the hose EVENLY and constantly check to make sure you didnt sand down too much. if you dont wana risk that then stock up on tape lol

Thanks all the help is much appreciated i'll probably try purchasing a new grommet and if that doesn't work i'll have to hit up wal mart for a good deal of electrical tape!

not right now, i could probably get some in a couple of days if i remember.

i just took a lighter and melted it a bit then jammed it in there. then melted it some more then jammed it in there, kept doing that until it fit pretty good.
