The Nour Is In

I just picked up my package from HC, which came after only 5 working days. Pretty amazing, usually takes between 10 and 14 days from me when ordering from the US. The package contained of some Tangiers (250g Horchata, 250g Blueberry) two KM Ultimate Hoses, a Tangiers phunnel, the cheap Coconut-coals and the Nour Bohemian.

The package smelt of delicious blueberries even before I opened it, so I was pretty exited. Too bad I can't smoke for a few more days, still have a cold and a sore in my mouth. But at least I have a hookah now.

The hoses and bowl was a replacement for the vase they were supposed to send me. I recently broke my Hafa-vase, but after ordering a vase from HC they told me they were back-ordered and didn't know when to expect more of it. Will be buying a replacement vase from Gothookahs as soon as this months salary is here, but until the Nour will get all the attention.

Anyways, I was a bit disappoined about two things:

1) I asked for a small tangiers phunnel, they sent me what I believe to be a large one. Since I mainly smoke alone or with one friend the small size has always been more than big enough. And I could really use a new bowl ... also, the bowl is missing a piece on the outside. Nothing that will affect my smoking, but it doesn't look good. Don't think this happened while it was being shipped, didn't find the small piece missing anywhere in the box.



2) I didn't get the golden tongs (which it says comes with the Nour in it's description) but tongs with "inhale" inscripted. The first thing that popped into my head when I saw the tongs was "Neal" and that can't be a good thing.

These are really just small problems, but I still felt they were worth mentioning. The Nour also "tips" a bit between the vase and the stem.

Looking forward to smoking Tangiers Blueberry, smelt like heaven. Sorry for the bad pics, only have the camera on my phone.

Yeah, I had to pay extra for the gold tongs I got. Included were some cheap little ones. Email them about that and the bowl being chipped. I am sure they'll help you out. What are the measurements on the phunnel? It looks similar to my medium in size. Definitely not a small though. The medium is still really big. I want to pick up a small when someone has them in stock... otherwise I feel like i'll be wasting a lot of shisha.

As far as it tipping, I can't say I have the same problem. It fit nice and tight on the base. Edited September 26, 2008 by mitchard

one thing for sure, George never pulls a "Neal." he'll fix things.

those gold tongs are useless anyway.

if the stem and vase don't fit and it tips some, then put some electrical tape around the part of the shank under the grommet. you'll have to decide how many layers it takes to make it fit perfectly. many people do that and it works great.

Well, the "problems" are rather small, and requesting a replacement bowl etc would just not be worth it because of the shipping prices. I'm not feeling badly treated or anything like that, I've always found HC's customer service to be top notch. Just felt like pointing out some minor errors

About the stem tipping a bit, found out the grommet-work was a bit sloppy, should be good once I fix it. No problem at all. Looking forward to testing the hose, it's a KM Ultimate Hose, and I have yet to try one. I always liked my old KM-hose better than my Nammor, and I hear this one is even better. The shaft is a large one, and that's always a plus. Smoking pics are unavailable since I'm currently having a cold. Getting better though, hopefully I'll be able to enjoy a bowl of Tangiers Blueberry tomorrow or monday!

If you complain about the broken bowl, I can't imagine them charging you for shipping to send you a replacement. It's their fault they sent you a broken one.
