Hookah In Gossip Girl

First of all, don't hate me for watching this show. I'm waiting for the first season of Flight of the Conchords to get released, and so I need something to watch until then. Anyways, there's a hookah in the sixth episode of the first season. At first I was glad, the girl asks her mother if it's a NH, to which she replies that it's a hookah. But when she asks why her mother had to turn the penthouse into a "NHT-den" she just replies "Why not?" and then laughs. Guess every viewer that doesn't know about hookahs now thinks it is used for NHT.

That's typical. People are just uneducated about it and try to be funny. I get a hard time from the receiving guys at work because all my hookah stuff gets shipped to me there. I just try to enlighten them, but they keep making stupid jokes. BTW, that hookah looks exactly like the KM I just got.

Just watched the love guru. At the very end we see Vern smoking the hookah.



Although this isn't the one featured in the movie. In the movie its a little pumpkin that looks like a mya as well.

The only cross-reference that is made to NHT is the song that they are singing. Steve-Miller Band "The Joker".

There was a hookah in several episodes of Firefly, one of the best shows ever made. Inara had one on her shuttle. It fit in with the middle eastern theme of her character.

No it's an MZ Nefertiti C You can tell by the design and spacing between the pears. KM is little more round design and probably an extra 2-3 inches between the pears.

Just like here! Any discussion is shut down immediately, leaving the newbie to ponder the meaning of NHT (which technically should be NTH). I keep my mouth shut most of the time, but I just want to weigh in again for education versus denial and censorship. As the largest English speaking forum out there I think the potential is there for the members to change a lot of misconceptions, yet any attempt to bring up the subject is stifled.

OK, I'm done with my annual rant. Gotta go drink large quantities if cheap beer and Jack (too broke for Whiskey River and Newcastle).

I don't know anything about Gossip Girl, but now I'm going to make sure to avoid it.

Flight of the Conchords is awesome though. Definitely one of my top 5 TV series.

you really have no idea do you? i send emails daily to new people of the forum telling them to read the rules because they do not know how to use NH or NHT (thats just me, there are 4 other mods and one admin out there). and believe it or not but NH and NHT can be used to discuss the misconceptions of hookah, and there posts out there that people DO infact talk about misconceptions of hookah.

as far as any discussion of misconceptions of hookah being shut down. i have no idea what you are talking about. seems like your making up stuff.

You mean the whole series? That show was canceled way before its time.

I noticed the hookah, too. It's just so weird to see one on TV.
