SimplexCoda
Ok so the other night I was at a buddies house and we had pork chops on the grill, but they were marinaded in sauce that he made from a recipe, but couldnt remember what all was in it. He could only remember Italian dressing, bbq sauce, and Worcestershire. Does this sound like a familiar marenade to anyone? If so what else is in it and do you think it would work well on pork roast instead of chops since thats all i have?

SimplexCoda
Oh ya man it is very interesting. I tasted it (before i put raw pork in it obviously) and had a mouthgasm. I suggest trying it sometime wyatt. I agree it prolly would work for chicken too.Duck: Im really not a fan of mustards unless its on a brat, but im down to try anything once. liquidglass
Dude this is a great marinade, some london broil marinated overnight in italian dressing is fucking awesome, with a few spices of course. But this marinade would be heavenly on it.

SimplexCoda
QUOTE (findlaytennis @ Oct 3 2008, 09:08 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>what portions do you use on that?Yes.I just used enough italian dressing to know that oncce i put the other stuff in it it would be deep enough to cover all my meat. So once i figure it would be enough to mix together and cover my meat i added the other ingredents until the taste was balanced.
oolatec
Sorry... but yuck! lolWhat you need to do is brine the pork chops overnight in a water/salt/sugar mixture with some thyme, rosemary (dry is fine), bay leaf, crushed garlic cloves.Water/salt/sugar mixture should be roughly 1/.5/.25.Make sure you heat up the water first, so the sugar and salt will dissolve. Then cool it... add the herbs etc... then the pork chops. Brine for 10 hours minimum in the fridge. When you are ready to grill... pat them dry with paper towels, and toss them on... if you want bbq sauce, brush it on a few minutes before you think they will be done.
