SixPackSunday Posted September 27, 2008 Share Posted September 27, 2008 ok.... so hookah hookups is an idea of mine to use google maps to allow people to pin drop their location (i would suggest just city and state) to allow other smokers to find new friends and meetup. with google maps it should be easy enough to view for anybody. the two problems i have have1. if you dont havea google account (who doesnt these days?) you cant add yourself. i'm ok with this, i will gladly add peoples location for them so they can still be on the map2. i need to figure out how to imbed the map into my blog smokeinhd.weebly.com. does ANYBODY know how i can do this? i cant figure it out, and i'm not good enough with rss feeds to figure that out either. if you can help me i would greatly appreciate it. I would like to have this fully running within a month. i will be going through and adding several lounges nationwide myself so people can find those, as well as anybody who would like me to put their location up for them. the way it works is i type your city/state into the search bar and 'save to my maps' then add the location as a placemark and title it with your username from the forums. then in the discription i put the easiest way to get a hold of you. such as email or just 'pm me on hookahforum'. what do you guys think? anybody willing to help me out with it? i really need to figure out how to imbed it, and preferabbly allow anybody to edit the map without having me send them an email requesting they collaborate on it. to save the hasslehttp://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&...3a021c6&z=5there is a link of a few names i knew the locations of off the top of my head. thanks in advance guys Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
