bjelder
So maybe I look a little young and naive, but am I the only one that gets tremendously pissed off at local hookah shop owners?I've been to a few different ones around town, and each time they try to completely rip me off. I ask what kind of shisha they have, and almost every one tries to charge me 20 bucks for 250g of AF saying "this is the best stuff that was ever made", then heaven forbid I ask what kind of hookahs they have, cause they always try to pass off their knockoffs as "Genuine Khalil Mamoon"Give me a break shopowners :-(
SixPackSunday
lol... that sucks man, sorry to hear that...i'm buying af 250's for 11 and nahkla 250's for 5 at a local gas station... its ok... you can be jealous
Bulldog_916
Nakhla for 7 and AF for 14 where I am. Not toooo bad, but it could be better. Starbuzz for 17 and Tonic for 16. Good. Shop owners here piss me off when they try to say a hookah that I can get online for 44 (the QT) is really worth 65. That shit makes me mad. Otherwise I'd already own a QT. ryno
I dont like mine at all because I ask what they have and they give me flavors... ask them brands and they have no clue! That is back home, down at school its the gas station SixPack is talking about
jester589
The shop near me sells 50 grams of what I think is Al Waha wrapped in tin foil for 5 dollars....Not exactly the best deal
blckngld760
my local shop charges $5 for 50g of AF, $20 for 250g of AF, japanese easy-lite for $15 (seen them online for $7), KM hose for $35 and the list just goes on and on.
Balthazar
Hah. I was just offered some Nakhla from a local salesman. 50$ for 250g.
Zinite
Every shop here in Tucson sells cheap Chinese hookahs, Layalina shisha and cheap quick light coals. Every one in awhile you see some Diamante Fingers. One shop, Moon, sells Starbuzz every once in awhile.I end up having to make bulk orders online because there is no decent shop in town. SimplexCoda
Damn you people and your being able to buy stuff locally. I have to drive over 2 hours to buy any supply, so i just order.
srawas89
I guess I am lucky, there are a couple stores around here that sell supplies some good stuff too but only tobacco and coals....hookahs I wouldnt....bought my first one locally and it was def. a knockoff of myas, although there is a store that I know of that sells legit mya's. I am pretty cool with him so I get some things from him and he orders stuff for me sometimes.
steeeeeeve
No one in america WHATSOEVER can complain, try buying in the uk:Pnakhla 150 i get for 10 dollars which is cheapest ive found, al fakher simply doesnt exist through 90% of the uk, ordering online through the only vendor that carries it and normally only has a handful of flavors and it costs around 30 dollars for 250g (15 pounds) postage on top of that.KM MZ and MYA dont exist herePhunnels dont exist herein my local lounge i get discount now because i know the owners ..... 18 dollars for a smoke instead of 20shipping from the USA, small standard box min = 50 dollars
bikeAholic
I completely understand where you're coming from. The local 'pipe and tobacco shop' sells coals and nakhla. Any other place that sells shisha is at least 15 miles more away. So I go to the local place when it's getting late. They sell a pack of coals (quicklites) for 2.50 and then nakhla (250g pack) for 15 freaking dollars!!! wtf?! A shop opened about 15 minutes away and they are selling AF for $11 but $9 for me. :] Thank goodness, because if I didn't have his shop.. I would have to go 30 minutes and get AF for $14. Plus, the cost of gas.
NUBBS
*This is an Anti-Rant* A Brag, if you will. The first local shop I have been going to has Layalina 50g $1.99 & 250g $8.99, Starbuzz 100g $9.99 & 250g $19.99, 3Kings 33mm $1.99 a roll or $13.99 a box, a bag of Diamante coals for $11.99, lots of accessories, & a while ago they had KM hoses. Only bad thing is all the hookahs are cheap chinese stuff. The other local guy is mostly cigars and cigs, but has knock-offs, Nahkla, Starbuzz, & I think AF. Im not gonna say his name, but I know a warehouse owner who sells KMs, MZs, Myas, NICE Mya Knock-offs[still made in China], Starbuzz, Layalina, AF, & Exoticas. He sells me everything at cost[which hes not supposed to]. AF 250g, $5 Golden AF $7, SB 250g $15, Idk how much for Layalina. Last time I went he was really picked over. Now, nobody yell at me!! xpimpitox
Few shops around my area. This arab market used to have nakhla/alwaha at $7 250 and easy lites at $9 a box. Another ripoff head shop used to sell starbuzz for 24.99 250g layalina for 20 al waha/nakhla for $13. Starlight japanese squares for 14 bucks which was kinda pricey but the coals were pretty decent. The worst was (now i dont use 3kings but i still loled at his face) 30 bucks for a box of the smaller 3K. These guys relocated and actually dropped their prices its now 21.99 for SB 250 18.99 for fusion. They also have potion AF and your usual brands but didnt bother with price since i only go if necessary. The local arab market by my store where i got my sexy KM sells SB for $20 250g, Sb 100g for $10.99. FUmari for $10 i believe. layalina and nak r like $9 bucks. $8.99 for easy lites and 3K i believe is 10 bucks. they have a variety of KM hoses but i never bothered to ask since i have more hoses than hookahs atm lol. Overall not too shabby then there is always a 30 min drive to my preferred shop that sells SB for 20 and fusion for 14.99. with a huge amount of hookahs. I still rather order online to support our awesome sellers

I can get Nakhla and AF locally for 15 for a 250g tin... One day I asked for the 250g of AF Watermelon and the guy sounded astounded when I said I wanted the whole thing

Jack_Hawksmoor
Cripes, reading this thread makes me grateful that Hookah Paradise is 15 minutes away from me. 250g of AF for $7.99 and 250 of Starbuzz for $19.99 as well as a box (84 piece count) of CocoNara coals for $11.99. Additionally the shop owner comes across as a guy who knows his stuff and didn't even come close to coming off as condescending to me (a new guy) plus MYA and KM Hookahs at the same prices you'd see online. Plus he's mentioned that he's opening up an online store soon.

modisess
yeah, when I went to buy some hookah charcoal for the first time, I asked the shop owner if the "little round charcoal" has any chemicals in them, and he said no, they're completely natural.. JillyIsJustKidding
Ugh you won't believe the one that is stationed right across my school. Every hookah in there is a knockoff, especially the ones that they try to pass on as syrians and egyptians. One of the owners said while I was testing him on his knowledge of coals and hookahs as he picked up the ROLLANDS "Yea these are the best ones on market!" AND HE FUCKING SNIFFED one of the opened roll of coals! OH YEAH! He pointed at the Soex and said "Yeah this stuff just hit the market...Its selling a lot now"All the stuff in there is soo overpriced...Its ridunkulous! Giant Ninja Robot
I personally enjoyed being told that "The Chinese make the best hookahs, buy Chinese, only the best!" in reply to my what brand or type of hookahs do you carry question. At least it was on the phone and I could just hang up instead of having to shuriken his eyeball.
