frost91
So the other day i had people over to smoke and then my friend had his KM out. I went to fill up his water and it smelt like fart. I was like "how can you smoke this" and he was like we never clean it. So i ignored that fact and filled up my tri metal and then we smoked. After they left i was cleaning out my hookah and smelt my vase and it was slightly less smelly, but regardless it still smelled. I ran it with hot water and then we alcohol and the smell didnt go away. Finally i had to shake the alcohol in my vase and it went away. Why does my vase stink? AKammenzind
Usually a mix of stale smoke, shisha juice, and with many hookahs, residue from the stem itself. My friend's hookah is going on two years, and it's brass, so the water is usually green and full of stank... stays in the base a bit too sometimes. indian_villager
Do you have a vase brush. I just use hot water and the brush after every smoke and my base smells fresh and clean.

I dribble in a little dishwashing soap, and some water, shake weel then rinse. Works wonders, you don't even need the brush unless it's been a long time.
