What you can do with a rusted hookah

I feel  like I am sticking my head into  a lion's mouth, but here goes. What can you  do if your hookah stem,  shaft etc. get rusted, or your great-grandmother bought you the  $849.99 Mya Saray hookah you have been drooling over?
Well I am not going to take ALL the credit for this idea.I was going thru some Algerian search engine recently, saw this page below and almost puked.

Yes, among the various UFO's in this photo, there is a lampshade on top of that hookah where the tobacco bowl would go. Now this was made with the idea of a lamp in mind. I am only suggesting you make a lamp AFTER its rusted.
I will go one step further and suggest that instead of the stupid lamp shade on the top, that some one can keep the hookah in its original composition, with an empty clay bowl at the top, but draw an electric wire down the shaft, and into the bowl (best to empty the water first, friend), and have the bulb shining out of the water bowl! If anyone tries it, tell us in the forum.

If you put a rusted shank into a mixture of 90% water and 10% black molasses, the chelating action of the molasses will remove the rust for you. Obviously, you will need a large container/tub to put the shank into. Additionally, a mixture of 70% vinegar and 30% propylene glycol may work too. You may need to throw an ounce or so of benzyl alcohol into the mixture, I don't know. I tested this mixture as a cleaning agent and it seemed to reduce metals (untarnish brass, etc.)Try it and let us know how it works.

in case someone wanted to  make a lamp!  I got a very long metal shaft not to long ago for $9.00 which was probably made in Jordan or Eqypt.
There is a big store for all things shisha  24/7 always open  in the Upper Galilee in an Arab village, Kfar Yaseef.
thanks again.Sheeshabum

Yeah, I saw it. Somehow, hookahs don't seem to rust real easy unless they are abandoned outside. I mean, some of the steel they are made with is crap, but no rust. I think the glycerine/PG have some sort of reducing action. Sorry, I sounded vague, I was hoping to get someone to try it. I thought you were making your own lamp or something.
