Dirty Dirty Holes

Recommended Posts

the holes, things you put the hose in, are filthy. i used to keep my hookah spotless but then i got distracted by shiny objects. so i went to give it a good clean and take out all the bars(they go across the holes to keep the ball bearings in) and one of them is stuck. its always been stuck. what are the ideas? i've tried lemon juice and some other things but nothing works. also does anyone know what the white bumps are? they don't rinse or was off and need to be scrubbed.

i havn't sparked my hookah in weeks and the last time i did the holes were so dirty the ball bearings weren't sealing correctly. hope someone can help cause i'm craving some puffs!

Oh Man you are so gonna get siged lol.

Its edited a little but I had to man.

As for the holes you should take some picks so people can help you out.

Also you should lube your balls lol_hitting.gif Olive oil works well.

Goodluck.

Use Olive Oil I would stay far away from stuff that might be toxic.

I dunno what to use to clean the hose port.

i think its from sahara shisha. either way i ran it through the dish washer upside down and right side up and it didn't really fix it. there were other things getting washed tho so it wasn't a total waste. i ended up smoking it and it was really smooth but not too sealed. everything needs to stop rusting though. the airsoft bb's i found are too small to fit in the holes. why don't these companies use stainless?

i'll try the lemon juice thing when i find my lemon juice. i just got done moving and don't know where it is

Oh it's a Sahara stem eh? If it's rusting that bad(which the Sahara stems are prone to due to shitty metal) then you may just wanna make the jump to a new hookah. Those Sahara's are notorious for shitty quality and most don't last too long before they rust to pieces.

damn. up until now its been great. the top part is rusting too though. maybe your right. thing is it quickly goes from 'hey i should get this one, but for a little more.... and for a little more!' 3 of the 4 hoses work fine and even the one that doesn't isn't all too bad. if it gets worse maybe i'll just plug it up and use the other 3. i'll try the lemon thing anyway. maybe i'll even soak that one thing in wd40 then give it a good cleaing. who knows.

Yeah don't do WD40, you don't want to potentially inhale that stuff if you miss some during your cleaning. In order of things I would use to clean the hookah I'd go from Lemon Juice first, then cheap vodka, then beer. Hell on my bi-monthly soak I do all 3 in that order and it gets all my hookahs super clean.

if you need to break a rusted piece out use oil of winter green, that will kick that out really well. just make sure to wash it throughly, its the same stuff in the pain relief cream too so its not uber toxic but inhaling a lot of it wont be great (as long as you give it a cleaning you will be fine)

lol your hookah has herpes! laugh.gif

anyways the white bumps are mineral deposits from the evaporating water. Most likely calcium. Try CLR or (I don't recommend this for anyone who doesn't know what it is or how to handle it. Muriatic acid which is for cleaning pools, a small amount diluted in water would likely take care of the problem) Either way you need to rinse, rinse, rinse when you are done.
