HookahDuck
I dont want this to turn into a huge "What else do you smoke" thread- but focus on the subject of cigars. I realize there are plenty of cigar forums, and if anyone objects to this thread its understandable.Im only 18, so im pretty new to the world of cigars. A buddy of mine works at a premium shop in town and he scores me a few choice ones every once in a while.Probably my favorite that I've found is the Juiletta Y Romeo brand. Particularly the Casio(I think) II. I've only had two... but man its an awsome smoke. Maduro wrapper with a Peruvian tobacco and a Dominican binder. A medium to strong flavor, but by no means full bodied. They are quite pricey though... I save them for special occasions.Though they are cheap, I actually really enjoy Sweet Daddies flavored cigars- Vanilla and Rum are quite tasty. They are very small, and only last about 15 minutes, but that is a nice quality when you dont have time to sit down and puff on a long cigar.Don Thomas' frequent my humidor and are a good "every day" cigar when I want a happy medium. They are a nice break from hookah smoking and I often am in the mood for one of my Sweet Daddies after finishing a bowl of ma'assel.I'd like to hear some suggestions from some of you guys. I prefer mild-medium body cigars which are of a moderate size
lilotaku
I myself enjoy the romeo y julietta's myself, but my standard cigar is a Ashton Cabinet(mild). When i want a full bodied cigar with a good bit of "spice" i like the Ashton VSG's. i highly suggest these as well as the regular Ashton series. My most favorite cigars are the Padron Anniversaries both Maduro and Natural. If you get the chance to smoke these, you'll definitaly never forget them. when i want a nice mild smoke, Butera's are my all time favorite. Try these out as well. yashman19
I wanted to get into cigars for a while, but my first humidor ended up being a dud. I did everything people say to properly set up a humidor, but it just doesn't hold the humidity. Must have a leak somewhere... But once I get a bit of extra skrilla, I plan on getting a new humidor and starting over. Not a big fan of the flavored machine rolled cigars though. jmexx
I haven't smoked all that many, but out of the full-sized cigars I'd have to say that I really enjoy a good Cohiba and definately some Romeo & Juliette. I've tried many others and there this one Amo something, I'll have to look into that, which was also a very fresh cigar. For small cigars, I love a good Davidoff, very rich smoke. I guess it really depends on my mood and where I am, but I'll try just about any cigar or cigarello, knowing how open-minded I am! I've also had those depanneur cigarellos (I guess you call them corner stores?) which weren't great but still enjoyable with a whisky or cognac.Jon
Vlax
I have 3 favorite brands right, now. At the top is Acid: blonde, anything by Indain Tobacc, and Thompson's TCC. Ah....Cigars my first love and first smoke. But my lovely hookah is a very close second. And I'm thinking about getting into the pipe.
pavlakos_politakos
i have smoked almost every form of tobacco and also have done snuff(you sniff it.its tobacco),because my father did it all and kinda got me into it.the best cigar i had was a nicuraguan, dark, full bodied churchill size cigar.very flavorful but it was huge so it took forever(almost 2 hours)to kill it. Sariél
Someone left a pack of Swisher Sweet Strawberry flavor cigars in my studio a while back, and I figured "I like Strawberry shisha, so I'll give them a shot"Gahhh! Tasted like a dog turd taken from a strawberry patch! And I was stuck in traffic with nothing to wash the taste away for half an hour or so.But I do like the wine-soaked Carmine thrifty's from Francis Ford Coppola's winery. PipeSmokeMcGee
I am an 18 yearold high school senior as well, so I don't have such a magnificent cash-flow. However, I love to enjoy a good cigar everyonce in a while. Here are some that are quite good but won't break the budget. Flor de Oliva Gold (~$3.00) cheap, but a decent "every day" cigar for students/poor people San Luis Rey maduro (~$4.00) quite a good cigar. dark, maduro wrapper but a very smooth body and an excellent, even burn Oliva Grand maduro (~$4.00) very similar to the one above. very smooth and a great value. Arturo Fuente Curlyhead Deluxe (~$2.00 maduro or natural) these are made from using "second" tobacco for the filler. some of these leaves might be slightly cracked or shaped oddly, but it is still the same flavor. the tobacco just isn't suitable for a 6 or 8 dollar cigar, so they have created a less expensive alternative. if i smoked a cigar everyday, the Curlyhead Deluxe Maduro would be the one for me, b/c it has a good, smooth flavor and it doesn't break the bank. Thanks for listening to me babble
