Dranas
For some reason unknown to me i cant seem to get any flavor. Lots of smoke, but no flavor. I'm smokin starbuzz x on the beach. It isnt burning because if it was i would definitely taste that. Ill try another bowl using AF vanilla and see if i get the same results. Im using the small MNH phunnel with foil, that dang glass screen really is a pita to clean. I mixed the shisha good before i loaded the bowl, and it was all nice and juicy

Give it a good clean Also, your hose might be really stained from old flavors that you can't even taste new flavors anymore
Dranas
I cleaned it really good, infact the hookah and hoses are about 7 days old. Edited October 6, 2008 by Dranas

JillyIsJustKidding
How old is the tobacco? It could be expired..Is it your first hookah or first few times smoking? It takes awhile to get that "hookah taste", when you notice the flavor your smoking after a while.I know that the first few times I smoked hookah, I couldn't taste the flavors because I wasn't used to it. After awhile, I really started noticing the flavors. Also, before you pack a bowl, do you mix the tobacco around? It is recommended so that the juices can be evenly distributed. The juices is what keeps all the flavor in the shisha. Edited October 6, 2008 by JillyIsJustKidding
rigor
I find SB X on the Beach to be a bit more of a mellow flavor myself, so that could be an issue as well. We just smoked a bowl of it tonight actually, but mixed in a little AF Mint, which I think improved it.Good luck
Dranas
It is fresh shisha and yeah i mixed it up really good. This is my first time using a glass phunnel, so maybe i just need to experiment.
mushrat
If you get smoke and NO flavour, chances are you have it too hot.A dirty hookah/hose will not eliminate the flavour, it will just make it taste nasty with the old flavours left in them. I don't know why people think having a dirty hookah can soemhow magically make the flavour disappear.Glass bowls retain heat better than most other types, so its easier to accidently get your stuff too hot. When using ANY glass bowl, try less coal than you would normally use.
