Hookah Recommendation?

ah, I imagine this place gets lots of these questions. but here it is:

we are on a budget around $100. since my girlfriend and i are usually the only ones smoking, we would like to get a single hose... seems to maximize the flavor and whatnot.

so, do you guys have any recommendations on what hookah specifically to buy? we'll probably order it online, so any recommendations for a site alongside an actual hookah would be great.

I just picked up a Mya Chic yesterday from a local shop. It was $59.99 and I've smoked two bowls out of it and I'm more than impressed. It's small but it hits like a larger hookah and tastes amazing.

I've had an Abyss 2-Hose and a small 1-Hose Inhale. I'd say the Mya and Abyss were my faves but the Abyss was pretty big. I got it off of www.hookah-shisha.com and it came with a bunch of freebies.

I'm sure more experienced people on here will have some better info for ya but that's my opinion. Good luck!

The big 3 on here are KM, MZ, and Mya. If you like the more modern look, I'd say go with a Mya. They can easily be changed to a multi hose really easily. They can get expensive quick though. KMs and MZs are both excellent brands. MZs are less expensive though.

Be more picky.

For example:

Do you want a smaller hookah or a bigger one?

Any preference in color?

Are you looking to buy all the things you need from one site (shisha, charcoal, etc.)

What about accessories like hoses and extra bowls?

I ask because there are plenty of great hookahs that you can buy in your price range.

around 27" I guess... but size really doesn't matter to us. we are college students so transporting the thing from our dorm to outside is the only thing we need.

our preference is blue... though again, we are just looking for a great smoking experience. flavor means a lot to us.

we have about five packs of charcoal and quite a bit of shisha already. just looking to buy the hookah at this point... we have used some other sites for shisha and accessories successfully, but we are getting tired of my roommate's mediocre hookah and feel that it's time to invest. we've been spending our cash away at hookah bars too often, so we just want a similar experience as far as taste goes.

KM hands down.. mnhookah is getting some in really soon to.. I got an exotia from them for 78 or 79 not to long ago

any other opinions on the Mya Diva? my girlfriend seems somewhat ambivalent toward it due to its size, though I keep telling her that it's a supposedly great brand that smokes great either way. she had a bad experience with a hookah of a similar size... except it was a really cheap one that she bought for $30.

i can probably sway her over with another recommendation haha

For your price range, I would get a Magdy Zidan. They have great quality, and smoke very well, up there with Khalil Mamoon and Mya IMO and you can get a nice one around the size you are looking for for around $75 I believe. Myas are also great if you have the funds, but on a budget I would recommend a MZ.

I'd go with this Nour from hookah Company. it's only 23" but smokes amazingly and is only 70.

The exact size you are looking for, the price is right and that one is a 2 hose, the one hose version is cheaper. Just my unexpert opinion though.

I'd like to add, just like so many others are here will tell you, ALL Mya's, even the small ones like the Mini, QT, Diva, smoke amazingly well, with essentially no difference to the larger Mya's. Your girlfriend had a typical experience with a cheap small hookah, but don't let the small size of a Mya fool you - they are amazing. You can find Mya QT's for as little as about $45 if you want to put the rest of that budget towards things that most will say are essential, like a good Tangier's phunnel bowl, some good coals like Coconaras, and some good shisha (Al Fakher, Fusion, Starbuzz, Tangiers). Small will be easier to transport as well.

My former boss has a 2-hose Mya Diva. Smoked really well, easy to take apart, clean, and store. Sharp looking little hookah too. Auto-seal worked well if you go the multi hose route. Only gripe I had with it was that I don't like the fact that the Mya bowls aren't glazed on the inside. That's more my OCD than anything else though
