Stuie
what kind of bowl? Sounds like too much heat.
Stuie
okay don't pack the bowl so high, Just up to the rim. Then two coco's across from each other on the bowl. slightly hanging off where a corner is pointing at the other coal and another is slightly hanging off the bowl. That should do it
rigor
Try just 2 CocoNaras and work up to a 3rd if need be. Make certain the coals are opposite each other towards the edges of the bowl. Good luck, let us know if you get it sorted out.
modisess
actually, smoking black smoke would be pretty cool.. regardless, are you using screen or foil? use foil. check how your tobacco is packed next time, overpacking or underpacking could lead to these problems. gaia.plateau
1) Post pictures, if you can, of your set up. Sequenced please.2) For Coco Naras on a mod bowl, you'll want to use about 4 coals in total - put one on at first, with a windcover, then once it gets to about half, put on another without the windcover, and keep doing that using a windcover as needed. 2 tends to be slightly too much, and 1 is not quite enough. You'll get the hang of it.
uzzy_00
first of all thanks alot for your help everyoneI packed in more flavor then last time and had 1 coal with the windcover... got alot better with that i am going to have to play around with that a bit... i ordered a phunnel bowl today i will bug u all with that when it arrives.PS does anyone know where to skyzzz flavor from its the best flavor i have tried so far...i tried replacing skyzzz with starbuzz but starbuzz uses american tobacco and i do not like the taste of it.I live in canada so i cant go to a local vendor to pick it up but if you guys know of anyone please let me know, thanks for the help
mattathayde
i put 2 cocos on my mod bowl and it smokes fine, i hang them a little off and flip them often to start and i dont get burned, heck i use 2 on my small egyptian.but coals are very personal to your set up in many ways. some of the suggestions i have gotten were way to much coal (burned bowls in like 2 mins) where other were never enough heat (barely could get any smoke out)the color of the smoke really just depends on what the dominate color is where ever your smoking, it looks like its colored but it isnt (i would have bet i had some AF that had pinkish smoke then i realized it was that i have a red rug in that room)-matt
