Maybe A Stupid Question...

Recommended Posts

So nowadays thanks to stress and all I sometimes just wish that i could get away and have a smoke...
the problem is that i used to smoke cigs and quit and so when i think that, im confused as to whether i mean hookah or cigs...
and lately ive been bored of smoking hookah, at least it isnt as fun as it used to be
so what im wondering is when i think in a moment of stress "i need a smoke" should i smoke hookah?
I dont want to ruin it so i pose the question to you all...

The stress relief i get from hookah is not quite the same as when i smoked cigarettes, but i like it better.

It takes a lot longer and the sound and flavor make it better.

I wouldn't smoke just cause your stressed. Smoke cause you want to!

I have a high stress life right now and have found myself thinking the same thing all summer. The catch is that I've never smoked cigs and haven't had a hookah setup through the entire duration of the cravings. So FOR ME it has been a mental thing. I think because my mind associates smoking hookah with relaxation and recouperation, my brain and body are saying "HEY STUPID CHILL THE HELL OUT AND RELAX!!!".

But I don't know if that applies to people who have smoked cigs.

I've been feeling like this a little bit lately. It is only really possibly to smoke on Fridays with my friends (I live at home), so during the week I'll be stressed or just want to chill but I can't smoke my hookah.
I've been trying to find something else to fix my cravings, but I'd rather not smoke cigarettes if I can help it. I've been looking at some herbal cigarettes that I'd like to give a shot, but I've heard they smell/taste bad and plus I can't find anywhere around here that sells them.
I recently stumbled upon Natural American Spirit cigarettes though. While they are still cigarettes, they contain only tobacco; completely additive free. I figure it's better than sucking on a stick of ammonia and rat poison tongue.gif

Getting back on topic though, I just say if at all possible, smoke the hookah when you're feeling like it. I find, as well as many others, hookah works wonders for stress relief and chillaxing smile.gif

Everyone smokes for a few different reasons. I just enjoy the different flavours of hookah. Only in a relaxed atmosphere will I smoke. In the army I took up cigarettes and quit the day I got out 3 years later. It was something to do and it was many years later I started to smoke the hookah for different reasons.

seems to me that more people are addicted than they think.

Yeah I don't really see how you can draw that conclusion from this thread.

how do you not see it? people are saying they smoke hookah when they are stressed because it relaxes them. thats the same reason why people smoke cigarettes.... it calms their nerves.

I know I am addicted, I get addicted to things easily.

I used to smoke cigs and when I can't smoke a hookah at times I will have a cig or Primetime Cigarello.

BUT I still have the urge to smoke a nice bowl.

A cig or cigarello does not satisfy my urge.

I smoke hookah when I am happy or stressed.

I usually smoke when I am studying(which is what i should be doing now LOL)

Just make sure you dont smoke when dont feel well. That is my rule.

Back to the books and hookah.
