NUBBS
Ive seen lots of people asking how to get their bowl squeeky clean, and I have the answer. MR. CLEAR MAGIC ERASER!See how dirty my bowl is. This is before I rinse it out with hot water. This is before I clean. This is after. You can see on the sponge how well it works.See the difference. AntiGravity
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser has got to be one of the greatest cleaning supplies ever made.At my job at my neighborhood pool over the summer, we had a whole bunch of cleaning supplies and then the eraser. Once we found out the AWESOME power of the eraser, it became all we used. We even used it to scrub the tiles around the inside of the pool. Cleans the HELL out of stuff.Never thought to use it on my bowl though I'll try that next time, mine is getting pretty filthy.

Clean Eraser?I didn't think about it at the time, but now that you mention it, it might have bleach or something in it.Now I'm not sure about exactly what's in it, but I'm thinking it could have bleach or chlorine or something in it. We used them in our pool worry free, if that means anything. I suppose you could use one to clean your bowl up really nice and then soak it in hot water or whatever if you're worried about chemicals. But like I said, I don't know EXACTLY what's in it. If anyone does though, I'm sure it would be nice to know.
Glassjaw
I often clean bowls with simply a scotch pad, some soap, and some hot water. If you don't have a brush, you can take a paper towel, fold it, and then run it through the middle of the bowl (Phunnel) which helps clean it out as well. melanko
Green side of the sponge here. Although I agree that that Mr. Clean Magic Eraser does work pretty well in most situations. Is anyone else afraid of Mr. Clean like me? It looks like he'll make you his bitch. paiintballa182
I've always done:1. Get large ziplock freezer bag.2. Put bowl in bag, add about an inch or so of 90-99% isopropyl alcohol(ISO) 3. Add 3 Table spoons of sea(or any, really) salt.4. Shake for 30 seconds, let sit for 2 minutes.5. Run under water to get the salt off6. Enjoy your clean bowl
cemab4y
Great ideas all. I like to take an old toothbrush, hold the bowl under running water, then scrub out the crud. Then I place the bowl in the dishwasher. This gets it really clean, inside and and out.
newjacksm
Mr clean eraser does in fact something in it... Funny true story my girlfriend got her hair dyed and she had some dye on her forehead so she used it to get it off her forehead and her skin started to burn and peel.. so yes there is a chemical in there. I wouldn't recommend this at all for cleaning your bowls. Edited October 9, 2008 by newjacksm
Scoop
the eraser is made from Melamine foam; a foam-like material consisting of a formaldehyde-melamine-sodium bisulfite copolymer. not necessarily toxic or anything, but ill stick to metal wooly. newjacksm
Ill just stick to the harder way, it always seems the easy way out cause problems with 95% of most things.I usually just boil my bowl for 10 min take it out hold it with some cloth so you dont burn your self and scrub with a brillo pad, gets all the burn look out... (repeat if its really dirty) Edited October 9, 2008 by newjacksm
