Glass Screen Questions

Recommended Posts

So everyone has said that rotating the coals on the glass screens is not really necessary b/c you get an even heat level across the bowl and thats awesome. I'm all up for not rotating coals. However my question is this. The reason that coals and foil work so well is that you only get the extra heat when you pull, does this still happen with the glass screen seeing as how there are no holes to allow air movement? I would think that if not hten you would actually burn bowls faster due to the fact of having the same amount of heat constantly. Can someone help me out here and explain?

First of all, I rotate my coals on my glass screen just out of habit, i havent tried to just leave them, i dont know if you get extra heat when you hit, i just know that i dont burn mine ever.
