srawas89
Does anybody have a vortex bowl on here? I am thinking about buying one and I want to know how good it is esp. compared to the phunnel since I dont want to wait for the small ones and I dont want one that is large either. Anyway if anybody has the vortex bowl could you please if possible post a nice in-depth review as I am sure many are wondering how well the bowl works as well. Thanks in advance. Voski
I went to get one from www.thehookah.com but they only had two left and they were both supposed to get shipped out. They are going to call me when they get more in. Hopefully they will have them this week or next week and I will post a video review.
*Veritas*
There are a few people on the forums here that have them. As far as i have read they seem to have a few problems. sometimes the holes are to low in the middle to take full advantage of the phunnel effect. My friend has a bowl similar to the vortex although it hand blown out of glass. I think it drags harder than my Tangiers and for some reason his always gets juices that still drip down the stem. the holes are even set a little higher than the normal vortex. The small phunnels are back in stock now most places. i just did a quick check over at HookahCompany and they are in stock. i would definatly go for one of these because everyone knows that the are a quality product. I can attest that the holes are closer to the bottom than I'd like but it still seems to do a better job than an egyptian. It's pretty much between egyptian/ mod and tangiers bowls. In theory its a Tangiers with a built in Scalli Mod, but because the holes are about 1/4" too low for what I'd like I'd say its up to you...also I can't get it to fit on my MYA QT, only on my km since the opening at the bottom is large

shishasmoke1904
i had one but went back to my phunnel and sold it to a buddy of mine
sss8789
just get a phunnel I have a vortex and I used it twice... not nearly as good as a regular phunnel and one thing that is bad about them (I bought mine at a shop so I cound see the different) some of the holes that are poked in the middle dor air flow are down near the bottom of the scalli mod like thing, so I picked out one that had the holes near the top but even like that some juices dip into my stem so like I said before just get a tangier phunnel bowl you don't even need the scalli mod
Stuie
I have a vortex. The concept is good. If it was made of the same material as the phunnels and the thickness it could give it a run for it's money. It just doesn't retain heat very well. I will keep it around for a while but I don't expect it to be a normal bowl.
SixPackSunday
i have one... dont use it at all... i think its at ryno/arpos now actually.... and i think they are actually using an egyption over itphunnel ftw
melanko
I've been using one for a while. Definitely better than a standard bowl but not as good as a phunnel. I think mine must have the holes in the right places because I don't get any leakage of juice down my stem.
