Recommended Posts

I was wandering if anyone ever mixed herbs like basil into there shisha and after letting it sit for a while took it out? I think basil and cardomom would go well together but I am not use what the outcome would be.

I tried spearmint leaf. Don't recommend, is very harsh and burns.

Also I try ginger mint, lavender, oregano and some other herbs I grow. None were very good. Edited by NJE03

LoL.

Maybe you could try shredding it into little tiny pieces first (like the HH cut.) and then add a few amounts into the tobacco and smoke that. Or are you just talking about letting the herb sit with the tobacco for awhile and not actually smoking the tobacco with the herb in it?

We've actually discusses this among some of my regulars.

If you are looking for cardamom or cinnamon, AF makes great flavours of both.

For other herbs like wild lettuce or damiana or some such, which ARE smoked by people, i'd let it sit mixed in with the shisha for a day or two to let it meld.

Instead of getting actual herbs I use the herbal blend from tea bags. So for instance AF orange with chi or chamomile is amazing. Or you can take it even further putting raspberry tea blend into mint shisha or something. Don't knock it till you try it wink.gif

We didn't have mint one day and my friends decided to but some mint leafs into the base,
his parents use it when they drink tea, They grow it in the back yard forget what its called.
But we washed it and put a hand full into the base while smoking strawberry and kiwi and we actually tasted the mint
was pretty gooddd. Also the leafs didnt get sucked into the steam which was a plus ahah. :]

i love the way sage smells just not to sure if i would want to try and smoke it (i know some people do but idk). its used a lot by the native americas more so in the plains (lakota, being what i am most aware of) and it is used for "smudging" which is a cleansing/prayer kind of thing that some natives do usually before going out to dance at powwows and some do it around in everyday life.

the also use a prairie grass called sweet grass that has this nice sweet aroma to it, not sure if it would be a good idea to even think about smoking that but i really dont know, just only used it to smudge as well
