Weezy
I represent you an interview with a best hookah specialist in Eastern part of Russia Azam A., who is currently working in a hookah bar Le Rouge in Vladivostok.Source - http://smokehookah.livejournal.com/4155.html- Hi!А: Greetings!- Tell me, Azam, when did you try hookah for the first time?А: First it happened on a birthday of my friend, I have seen an interresting object with a hose, asked what it is and were told, that this is shisha and that was the first time I tried it in my life. - How long do you work on a "hookah professional" position? Aren't you tired of this job?А: I work for about two years. Am I tired? Well, I work for my soul and a job of hookah-maker pacifies me, you calmly make a wonderful bouquet of aroma, calm down your nerves.- Is work with hookahs only a job for you, hobby, something else or all together?А: I would say it's my hobby, because my hobby is sport and a healthy way of life, but if you work as a hookah-maker you can forget about healthy way of life. It's just a work for soul.- What do you think is the most important in your job?А: Smiles and pleased faces - that what gives me inspiration.- How do you work? А: When I work I like to keep cleanness: cleanness on a workplace and a cleanness, purity of mind. If you work with negative emotions, hookah starts to hursh, flavor is not the one you wanted and so on (based on a personal expirience).- Can you pick out some difficulties in your work?А: Difficulties? They appear when you use not natural coal and wrong tobacco.- Do you have your own clients, who would ask a hookah exclusively from you?А: Yes of course, there are people who comes to a hookah bar, only on those days, when I work.- Who is the most pleasant client for you (young ladies, big companies, "business class" men and so on)?А: I like all people, the most important, that after shisha everybody has smile on a face.- Have you ever had some funny/interresting situations on work?А: Yes, I had. Once, I made a hookah for a guy, he smoked, smoked and suddenly calls me and says, that there is no smoke. I started to pull by myself and see, that there is no smoke for real. I look at the coal and it's fine, and everything else is fine, keep pulling and always keep face expression that everything is under my absolute control. And then he sees, that the hose came of and then I see it and he started to laugh, because of my "everything is under control" expression.- How do you think, what is the main mistake in work of your colleagues?А: Mess - is the main mistake, I don't like when it's messy on the workplace!- What would you recommend to a person, who starts to work as a hookah maker in some restaurant or other place?А: Talk to clients. Talking to clients is the most important, because the more you talk to a person, the more you start to understand, what does he or she want!- Do you have hookah at home?А: Yes of course, for the home experiments.- Do you have a preference to any brand of tobacco?А: Al Fakher. I use only this tobacco, because chips of tobacco, consistence and packing meet all my requirements.- Do you have a "firm" recipe? Could you share? What is the name of it?А: My "firm" recipe called Pomegranate Heaven.- Could you give a little advice to all hookah lovers?А: Experiment, smoke only those tobaccos that you trust, use only natural coal! And the most important, remember, smoking - is the main cause of cancer!- Thank you for an interview!А: You are welcome, I was pleased to answer your questons.Interview is taken specially for my hookah blog. erufiku
Interesting! Never knew there was a hookah scene in Vladivostok... I'm guessing it's for the nuveau rich and a bowl costs 50$?If you were the one that translated the article, read up on prepositions. No offence or anything, just a word of advice from an aspiring esl teacher. Also, intercourse (at least in NA English) refers to sex most of the time, so unless you're writing an academic paper, I'd say 'relationship', 'rapport', etc. Thanks for sharing though! Weezy
Thank you very much for correcting me. Just some words, which I've never used I look in the dictionary, but language changes all the time and dictionaries aren't fast enough. If you noticed some other mistakes please let me know, I like to speak proper english, sometimes I just don't know how ).Well, mostly hookah costs around $20, but some special stuff (like some liqueur, fruits, syrup and so on) will increase price, but that is something worth to try. And, I think there are very few people in Vladivostok, who have never tried hookah. It's very popular, not only for rich people. Edited October 19, 2008 by Weezy
