ved9311
Well to start off I found this great new market place which sell's AF for 9.99 for 250grams. Better than the other place i used to go locally when I didn't order off the Internet. They sold Al-Waha for 14.95 FOR 250 Grams.. and the only brand they had was Al-Waha.. Anyways, i decided to get AF grape and Pineapple. Pineapple was GREAT! However AF Grape tasted like Ketchup, why? It never tasted like that before when i smoked it.So did I just get a bad batch? Or does AF Grape taste like this all the time now? Also how does AF LEMON, PLUM, JASMINE, COCKTAIL and CAFFE LATTE taste? Thanks in Advance
rigor
I recently got in on the 10 + 10 free order from AF Online. I had a 50g box of regular grape, production date May 2008. It also smelled funky and like ketchup. Even after trying to let it acclimate for about an hour, I smoked it, and it didn't taste good either. I gave it about 10 minutes, hoping it would get better, and it didn't. I also got a box of Golden Grape, and it smells exactly the same I'm never buying AF grape again until I hear the masses here say it's good again (if that ever happens). In regards to your question on the other flavors, we really enjoy the plum around here. The cocktail and caffe latte were good, but I wouldn't say either was great. Haven't had the other two you're asking about.

ColibriDon
I just got some of their Grape + Mint and it tasted like Minty ketchup. I was sooo upset with it! I really wanted it to be good but it wasn't. Luckily AF Mint is still fantastic as always so that made me feel better. Production date was July 2008. Bulldog_916
I got mine and it's perfect, tastes like the innards of a white grape, amazing. Production date, May 2008.
Lysolz
I've only tried AF Grape once and it smelled and tasted so bad that I'm probably never going to give it another chance. /gagLemon's not bad, kind of subtle. Mix it with mint though and you've got a fantastic flavor.Lots a folks like plum, I didn't though. Maybe I got a bad pack, but it tasted "bitter". I can't really place the flavor of it, just simply "bitter".Jasmine (and rose) are very good. The floral shishas are pretty strange and you either love/hate them, but honestly I'd prefer Rose to it. Jasmine actually kind of tastes like what a honeysuckle smells like, to me.Mattarios is right about the cocktail, it's pretty much strawberry with somethin' extra. It's not bad, but it's very bland.Cafe Latte is probably my favorite of these flavors, it's got that coffee flavor without being sickeningly sweet. It's extra tasty mixed with vanilla, or cinnamon and is probably my second favorite "coffee" flavor, first being caramel frappucino (by fantasia) which to me smells and tastes like french toast crunch cereal. Click
Yeah I just stopped buying grape. We would assume that the grape they are putting in the grape with lemon and grape with mint is the same as the regular package of grape.Somebody earlier said that the Al Ajamy Grape tastes similar fyi.http://www.hookahcompany.com/grape_al_ajamy_1369_prd1.htm

I say to hell with AF if they can't keep grape consistant. Sure, there other flavors are good but whatevs. I got the word that grape was "the" shit and yes, it truley was shit.-QM Edited October 19, 2008 by QuiltedMaple
Click
That's true QM. It may be perception, but the OP may have never heard of AF Grape tasting like ketchup. Even my sister who doesn't go on these forums nor have I talked to her about AF Grape said it tasted like ass, when it used to be good. So I think it goes beyond it all being in the persons head. It's deeper than that, AF is lame for being inconsistant with their "best" flavor.-QM

JillyIsJustKidding
Damn. I am sooo disappointed with AF.Idk if its true, I heard that AF has a new owner...Hence why the tobacco cut has changed for the worse and why a crapload of the flavors have changedI can't even smoke Af anymore... its too "strong" because of the new cut. Its TOO fine. They changed the tobacco for a cheaper kind from the looks of it (they should lower the price for AF b/c of that)Wish the new owner could understand that the "old ways" of AF was the way to go Edited October 20, 2008 by JillyIsJustKidding
