Damn, never having tried good or bad AF grape kind of makes me want to try both, or neither. Smoking ketchup sounds awful, doesn't belong anywhere near a hookah, unless you're making some hamburgers at the same time. Is there anyway to get a guaranteed good grape anywhere?

last time i smoked AF, i was glad i stopped. i used to loooove golden grape. after the change, its not the same. all the flavors are too intrusive if that makes sense...too strong and weird

Ketchup... Thank god i didn't load that into my phunnel. threw it out as soon as i smelled it. Authentic Al Fakher shisha, just received it late last week. just a waste.

You guys are crazy. All I could taste was the innards of a delicious white grape. THIS being after I let it acclimate and then age a couple of weeks in the tub. Initially, it did smell like ketchup, and to some extent still does. But I think that's a flavoring component. After I smell the grape and really examine the smell, taste my palate etc, it tastes like white grape. I love it, what can I say.

Not trying to hijack this thread, but I read several posts up 50 gram boxes aren't saturated enough. Is this through? I just ordered 500 grams of Al Fakher in 50 gram boxes...

Btw, I will be able to tell if my AF Grape tastes like ketchup in a matter of days, when my KM and shisha arrives .

I just recently bought 5 50g of al fakher and they were all well saturated, I think it is just bad luck sometimes if the boxes have sat around for a while they dry out, b/c like I said I ordered 5 recently and have ordered a few other 50g AF boxes and have had no problems ever with them.

And I tried the Grape again today with some friends, and no ketchup taste, straight grappppppe!
But my first time it def tasted and smelled like ketchup! However it didnt this time around idk why but it didnt, atleast
my money didnt go to waste lol :]

I think it's something to do with how much coal you have on it. I got a 250g pack of Golden Grape (Al Fahker) which started great, went into ketchup when I added another coal, then slowly went back to a nice grape flavour as the heat died down. I'm no expert, but it seemed as though as your draw, if you let a bit of air in next to the pipe, the grape flavour really comes through. No idea why, or if I was just imagining it... but give grape another go and see how it turns out.

You could always reserve the grape for when your out of decent stuff. Or try to flavour it yourself.
