frost91
so i was thinking....a funnel has one big hole in the middle and as you inhale, the smoke goes through that hole....if we were to put many holes on the outside of the bowl, would that produce denser, more flavorful smoke? the air flow is going from the outside to the inside instead of coming from all around and the coals would be placed all around the shish.Edit: i have a paint picture i drew but its too big and cant upload...anyone have another way i can upload? Frost's theory was that it would produce thicker, more flavorful clouds. Did it?And you two need to cut it out. A legitimate theory is being buried under your bickering. Drop it. *Veritas*
Ive been thinking about doing the exact same thing lately. Just havent tried it yet. I think it will take longer for the shisha to heat up but it still should work. Maybe even help make stuff harder to burn. MechAnt
It is known that a reduction in holes, in particular, when you concentrate them around the areas where you will be placing coals will get you monster clouds. However many of us vets, that have seen that idea come through here several times, believe that it increases CO and CO2 inhalation due to lack of fresh air coming in and not allowing venting of the bowl. It is a part of Tangiers that you must use medium to medium large holes in the foil otherwise it gets too much heat, which is not allowed to escape, and creates harshness. hookah hippie
interesting idea but the point of the hole over the phunnel I believe is to give you proper air flow is this a factor with your new trial
