Hookah smoke smell in apartment

A friend of mine has asked has asked if Hookah smoke leaves any type of residual smell similar to cigs or pipes. I really don't know, as everyone I smoke with tends to smoke cigs or smoke outside.. 
Are there any "hookah only" smokers?  Do people notice the smell?

there is no lasting smell, after smoking there is a sort of incense-like smell but it goes away in a few hours. definitely no long term smell, unlike cigarettes/cigars/pipes. hookah smoke is too light and clean to stick to stuff it seems... maybe if you smoked every day you might notice but ive never noticed anything here.

Only when its smoking. I smoked hookah in my room for like four years and my mother is "allergic" to cigarette smoke, but she couldn;t detect leftovers. One time, a friend of mine was drunk, passed out in the living room and woke up in the middle of the might and smoked a cigarette. My mother hit the roof, she could smell a single cigarette, smoked on the other end of the house.

Uh yes I smoke nothing but hookah and it DEFENETILY 100% leaves a smell
in your clothes. I found a shirt the other day that i didnt wash for 2
weeks sitting in my room and i smelled it to see if it was washed and
it smelled like shisha really strong.
