Time For A New Hookah!

hey yall,
ive been lurking around here for a little while and i need yalls help. i think its time to retire me snake 2 hose Syrian, every time i smoke from it i get a real bad nauseated feeling and no matter what i clean it with it always smells like stale old flavors mixed together. it was so bad that i had to switch to my small social smoke marble hookah this weekend. so ive decided to get another large hookah but im not sure which way to go. im really interested in a KM since they are so coveted here but are there any other top end hookahs i should look at? i deffinately want a 30+ 2 hose hookah, any suggestions? thanks!

1 hose > 2 hose, they just smoke better imo. check out mz's there good hookahs also myas. Did you try changing your hose that would be the most likely cause of the old flavors, try a nammor or a razen hose since there washable you can wash the old flavors out of it.

well this was my first hookah and when i first got it i didnt take great care of it, now that i have a better handle on what im doing i regret not cleaning it as much when i first got it. the old taste and smell is coming from the stem, specifically where the hose connects to the stem. i have switched hoses but it still tastes odd and the smoke is definitely weaker than my small social smoke.

for a 2 hose go MYA or MZ
however if your on a budget go MZ as MYA's get expensive quick!!!!!

for multi hose mya is king, i have a QT it smokes like a champ and i cant not recommend it though the bigger models are expensive

one hose i have had nothing but good with my km though they are much harder to clean because they dont come apart like the myas and they are only 1 hose

if you like the sound of a km but its a bit above budget go for a mz they smoke almost as well but they are cheaper but also one hose

nour are getting a good reputation fast though i think they are a little smaller but still cheaper in price again one hose

if you are set on multi hose mya is the way for sure and they look stunning but if you can find a hookah you like the look of and its well constructed dont be afraid to give it a go if its not a big brand, brands are good for knowing your going to get quality but there are some real gems out there that have no brands on

personally i would say see if you cant go without the multi hose because from my experience they just dont QUITE smoke so well, look at some unbranded beauties see if you cant find a new brand or unbranded hookah which no one else has because everyone and there dog has a km, mya or mz and to a lesser extent nour and it kinda takes the special away from owning one

Edit, as some people said a hose will probably sort your problem out but i started like you with a standard hookah and just didnt take care of it and i am so glad i went with a new one taking care of it from the start Edited October 20, 2008 by steeeeeeve

while im looking for a good pipe i dont want to break the bank i have been looking up myas and they are way outta budget. who is MZ? most of the time its just me smoking which is why i got a small junior size hookah but when i have friends come by or i just want to change up i like to use the bigger hookah. if i can get a better smoke from a 1 hose then ill think ill go that route.

MZ is the brand, stands for Magdy Zidan. IMO, two hose is just for when you're lazy to pass around the hose. You still have to pull one at a time to get the full amount of smoke. 1 hose works very well, and you can purge! 2 hoses with auto seals means you cant purge since the hose ports are automatically blocked off everytime someone takes a pull. KM's, MZ's are all good quality egyptian hookahs. There are also generic hookahs, that are more modern in terms of looks. Check out any of the websites in the vendor area.

Thanks Stuie, i seem to have opened pandoras box because now i cant decide what i want! i have used all but texashookah.com. there are so many new choices i didnt even know about! does anyone have any experience with Gothookahs.com? they have some nice deals on KM and KZ hookahs.

Gothookahs is great! got my MZ from them. only downside they are in cali took 4-5 days to get here

booooo! 4-5 days! damnit all! is there a noticeable benefit to getting an ice chamber hookah or would it be just the same as putting ice in the base?

in your case i would say go with a MZ safari or even a perpetual river i love mine and Steve, my MZ smokes just as well as my KM exotica and it was less expensive
