mushrat
Silent: Simply typing "pyrex" in the search engine would have given you this: http://www.hookahforum.com/forum/search.as...sp?KW=pyrex&SI= PT&OB=1 And you might have already had an answer. The search engine is your friend...
Seandoo
hmmm....... I know that you're pretty keen on reminding people of the search engine, but in this case I feel that he was justified in starting a new post. I got to this one by typing in "pyrex" after seeing the bowl at Social Smoke's website, and most of what came up was "in theory" about buildup of black stuff on the inside - all simply cosmetic and also not from actual experiences. Maybe I missed the posts on how well the bowls seem to work for those that have them, but in case there's none so far I'll go ahead and bump the thread with the question: Does anybody have experience with the Pyrex bowls that come with included glass screens? Are these screens removable, how well do they work, etc. cuz I'm thinking about purchasing one as well but don't want to drop 30 bucks without first knowing if anybody has had bad experiences. Thanks.. -Sean
Silent Knight
Yeah, I had done the search thing, and everything I saw was mostly theorized (is that even spelled right?) stuff. I wanted to see if any one had actually used one. It has the potential to be really good, but I was worried about the temperature messing things up or burning shisha. I'm opening a hookah lounge in a few days and I was thinking about using the pyrex bowls for our premium shisha (you know it's all in the presentation). But it doesn't seem anyone has any experience with it, and I could see why, they're pretty damn expensive. Any way I'm rambling on now. Thanks for the help. pavlakos_politakos
what exactly is the point of a pyrex bowl?
Seandoo
I was thinking it would be nice to not have to mess with either screens or foil. It's a bonus that they look pretty sweet, with the smiley and all =)
Guest Abide
I like mine, and i know Apoc enjoys his. It cool cause you can see the smoke build up in it and swirl around before and after a hit. I got mine from hookahcompany its a smileys bowl with a little glass screen with 3 pencil eraser size holes. It seems like it would get lots of ash and stuff in there but to tell you the truth, with an abu hitam japanese coal, its alot easier to manage heat with, considering all my holes are the same every time. It looks beautiful and isnt covered up by foil when im smoking. heres some pics
